Let’s Look-Favorite Family Vacations

Hi There!

It’s the second Wednesday of the month which means I’ve teamed up with Shay to take a little peek at a fun topic, FAVORITE FAMILY VACATIONS! Before we dive into that topic, let’s recap…

In January, we chatted about THINGS WE OUTSOURCE WITHOUT REGRET.

In February, we discussed WAYS WE’VE TURNED INTO OUR PARENTS.

Now onto the topic for today…FAVORITE FAMILY VACATIONS! This couldn’t come at a better time because next week is Spring BREAK! {And to say I’m excited would be an understatement!}. We’ve been able to take many amazing family vacations over the years. I wish I could highlight them all but I’m going to list my FAVORITES….

Rosemary Beach/30A-Some of THE most gorgeous beaches are located right in Northwest Florida. Our family has visited this beloved spot for many Texans many times and it remains a FAVORITE. The beaches, the houses {DARLING}, the dining, the bikes, and all of the people are a few of our favorite reasons to visit. We’ve gone with friends, we’ve visited solo, we’ve gone for a week and we’ve stayed for two weeks. No matter how you dice it, this little slice of our country is a favorite spot for the Slaughters to head!

Walt Disney World Fall Break-I talk to clients all day long who are headed to Walt Disney World. They’re taking children of all ages because there truly is something magical at Disney for EVERY age. We’ve taken our kids at several different ages to visit Walt Disney World but one of my FAVORITE visits was a quick Fall Break trip when 3/4 of the kids were older. It was SO easy! They could all hang late at night, everyone rode ALL the things {Britt rode all but two rides, she hung in there!}, I didn’t have to change a diaper {WAHOO!}, and the magic was still there.

New York City on NYE-This was a VERY last minute getaway that turned into the best New Year’s Eve I’ve ever had! Days spent in New York City seeing ALL the Christmas lights, watching the New Year’s Eve ball drop right from our window, the Rockettes and so much more made it a trip to remember!

Bear Lake/Grand Tetons/Yellowstone/Glacier National Park-This family vacation was one for the books! We covered so many different locations, had unique experiences at each stop, and were extremely adventurous! {My people prefer adventurous activities so it was perfection!}

Hawaii & a Cruise-In 2020 we boarded a cruise ship in Hawaii with the Shull Crew for a week! It was one of my FAVORITE cruises because each and every port was possibly better than the last!

BEACH-I should give another shout out to really and truly any vacation by a sandy beach. We’ve visited Mexico, Dominican Republic, Hawaii, Florida, Alabama, Bahamas, and MORE beaches!

HONORABLE MENTION AWARD-

Paris GIRL’S Trip-Last year, my mom, Ebby Lee and I headed to Paris to celebrate her SIXTEENTH birthday in style! We did ALL things girly! This trip was better than I’d even expected. It was one of my absolutely FAVORITE vacations! If you have a girl’s trip and need help with a destination, consider Paris!

***********

I could have kept going sharing pictures of many different fun destinations but I’m going to tell you what I remember when I look back at all these cool destinations are the memories with my people! Whether your destination is halfway across the world or an hour drive to the closest lake, it’s getting away with your favorite people that make these vacations so special!

With that said, SHAMELESS PLUG here. 😉 If you’re headed to Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, a cruise or another international destination, please reach out to us! We’d love to help get you there!

Thanks for reading today! See you back here next month!

    Loved your Grand Teton/Yellowstone vacation too. So great to show all the exciting memory-filled activities you experienced. Our National Parks and Monuments are our greatest gift to be treasured!! Alaska will fill your minds, challenge you physically and stir your emotions! Try it next!
