Magical Fall Break

Whoa! And just like that it’s already October 12th! How did that happen so quickly?!

I must pre-warn you-I have a TON of pics in this post today. You’ve been warned. 🙂

Our kids were just out of school Friday-Tuesday on Fall Break and I planned a magical getaway to Walt Disney World {courtesy of Mix and Match Travel Agency} during their break. Tab happened to “magically” be off from football as well so he got to join which made it even better.

On Friday morning we got up CRAZY early to catch the first flight out of Dallas to Orlando. We landed, dropped our bags at the BoardWalk Inn, and made it to Magic Kingdom all before noon!

Magic Kingdom was looking extra gorgeous with all it’s fall decor on display.

I go to Disney World frequently but it had been years since all six of us were there together.

Remember what I said about the park showing off?

I’m not sure it ever looks better than when the park is all decorated in the orange, yellow, and reds.

Getting away for a few days was just what the doctor ordered OR it was more like exactly what this mama needed.

When I tell you, we rode EVERYTHING. I mean it! The only ride Britt skipped was Tron. The rest of us rode it and LOVED it!

She was such a champ and rode everything else at Magic Kingdom.

One of my favorite things about Disney is THE DETAILS! They think of everything so I try to remind myself to look around and soak it all in.

While the boys were riding Tron with me, the girls and Tab hit up the tea cups.

We had a family favorite dinner at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant and someone snagged some cool ears right before dinner.

A few more of the gorgeous views…

That night was Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party that we snagged tickets for so we kept the fun going late into the night. We kicked off the party with a ride on the Haunted Mansion. It’s a little extra spooky at night. 😉

Bowen has a gift for impersonating the Haunted Mansion statues. Who knew?!

Britty tried too! ha!

This ghost in the cemetery was too funny!

You know when you enter that room and the lights go out? It’s a little scary each time.

Her face = PRICELESS! At one point we were walking at Magic Kingdom and she stuck her arms out and said, “I just love Disney World”. I melted. hahaha!

The castle was looking all kinds of gorgeous for the party.

We waited a bit to watch the Hocus Pocus show right there at the castle.

Just me & the girls. :)…The show was SUPER cute and many other villains joined them.

Then we popped over to watch the Boo to You Halloween Parade where we saw many of the characters make their way down the streets.

Super sweet….at this point my people started dropping like flies. Our plans to watch the firework show quickly came to an end. We’d been up for a LONG time so we called it a night.

Planning Walt Disney World vacations is what I do each and every day so to get to enjoy this with my whole family made it just a little extra special. I’d love to help you and your family with a magical Disney vacation as well. If you’ve been considering visiting Disney World with your crew and would like some help, please reach out to us! We’d love to work with you!

I’ll finish our little getaway next week with one more wrap up! I promise!

Happy Thursday, Friends!

XO

I love trip reports! What a special time for your family to get away – I loved reading about your time at MK! And I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s post, also! We were last at MK last September, and I’m dreaming of our next trip. We have 4 kids, also, and your youngest is about to be past staying in a pack and play. We stayed in a 1 bedroom at BLT on our last trip and loved it, especially 2 full bathrooms!

So fun! We went there last November with our family which at the time included a 2 1/2 yr old granddaughter (now we have 2). Our favorite memory was going on The Little Mermaid ride with all of us and we were in a clamshell behind her and her parents and when we got to Ariel and stopped she’d look at us and point at her so we wouldn’t miss her. I guess she didn’t trust us because she did it both times we were on it, ha ha.

There’s nothing more fun and magical than a day with family at the Magic Kingdom! On a whim my husband and I flew to Florida on Tuesday morning, we were at Epcot at rope drop, spent the day enjoying the park and then flew home on the last flight that night. It was just what we needed, a day at Disney! I Can’t wait for part 2 of your trip.
