The Bestie Breakdown: Episode 31-Breaking Down Valentine’s Day

Hey Hey Hey! It’s a new week around here and the Besties are BACK breaking down Valentine’s Day! With the season of love right around the corner, we cover it all from first crushes to our favorite ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day to how I got engaged. I’m telling you-love is in the air or we at least tried to send the vibes through our microphones as we shared all things related to Valentine’s Day! You can listen to this episode as well as any of our past episodes right here on Anchor. If you have a preferred podcast platform like Spotify or Apple, be sure to subscribe to our podcast and you’ll get notifications any time a new episode drops.

I must clarify-on this episode I answer that I’m a keep it simple kind of Valentine-box mom. And that was TRUE! But what I forgot to mention {Shay brings it up} is that my mother-in-law happens to be the every-bone-in-her-body-is-creative-type. She has helped my kids create some of THE coolest valentine boxes. Like these…

Ebby Lee and Marla created a princess castle valentine box when she was in preschool. {There’s a DIY for this one if you keep reading.}

Nixon requested a toilet valentine box because #fifthgradeboy.

A couple years ago Bowen asked to make a Patrick Mahomes box…it turned out so good he used it more than one year!

Do you remember Shopkins? Ebby Lee and Marla created the lipstick shopkins one year.

And this year, Marla and Bowen created a Super Bowl Trophy for his valentine box this year. My biggest tip for creating a valentine box masterpiece with your kids would be to marry someone who has a creative mom. hahaha!

In honor of Valentine’s Day, I wanted to share some of my Valentine’s Day posts from the past…

    EVERYONE needs a Marla in their lives. What a blessing and such great memories with her, for your kids. Bless her. I don’t have a single bone of creative thinking in my body.
