What I Wore Wednesday: Getting Valentine Ready

Hey Friends!

How was your weekend? I had a really great one…we had a fun dinner out with friends, I majorly organized our pantry on Saturday morning, we watched two playoff games later that day, and then after church on Sunday we watched more. Who knew this girl who went to a high school where we didn’t even have a football team would find herself watching three games in one weekend? Who even am I? {I’m a mom to two boys is the answer to that one.}

Random note here-I went to almost every home football game while I attended Arkansas State University and even a few away games, because my school spirit was extremely strong. But my football knowledge, eh…now THAT was lacking.

With two boys and a hubby that’s changed just a bit. 😉

Remember one of my blog goals is to not stow away items in my closet for a future time? That sentence almost sounded like a verse in Matthew, didn’t it? ha! Basically, what has pretty much happened my whole blogger life is I’ll order something to share, it arrives, and I save it for “the perfect day”. Do you guys do that? What happens to me is when “the perfect day” finally arrives, it’s usually sold out. Womp. Womp. So here I am sharing some things while they’re still in stock. #hopefully

I grabbed some very Valentine-ready items and thought you might be looking to add a little love to your closet too…

On Friday I shared a picture of the boots I got for Christmas. I realize this pic is kind of hard to even see those particular boots but it was the only one we took that wasn’t blurry. Britty’s sweatshirt is super soft on the inside and full of love on the outside {and 40% off now}.

This “Love” tee got very high praise from Ebby Lee. Which when you’re a mom of a twelve-year-old that is HUGE! My jacket is old from last year. 🙁 Yesterday began chilly but there was a high of almost seventy by late afternoon which explains my tee with a jacket.

This heart top was a big hit last week when I shared it. If you missed it, it’s 30% off this week! This is a warm one and I’m wearing my normal size but could have sized up one for my room in the sleeves.

Remember that whole football watching I did? This is my go-to for doing just that…cropped sweatshirt and joggers. I grabbed these on a whim and am pulling them out any chance I get. The waist band is really thick so it’s super comfortable. I ordered my usual size in the joggers and sized up one in the sweatshirt.

It’s kind of short and {hopefully you thought it was} sweet, today. Those short school weeks always get me. Always. Have a great day and thanks for reading!

XO

      Hi Katie! I got that sweater in the Anniversary Sale back in July. I checked but it’s all sold out.

    Such a random question, but how do you style your hair so that it always has volume (especially at your crown)!? Especially in the pic with your black and white top! My hair is so flat and fine, I always admire how good yours looks!

      Hi Marie! I think my biggest tip is I move my part around. After wearing my hair parted to the side, the next day I make that side part even farther over or I switch to the other side. On this particular day {with black/white shirt}, I let it air dry as long as I could and then I blow dried the rest. I just ran my straightner over it a bit.
