Friday Favorites-2.4.22

Hey! Hey! Hey! Happy, Happy Friday! We got an unexpected four day weekend so my people are enjoying their Friday a little extra. Andrea and I have teamed up again to share our FRIDAY FAVORITES! As always, I’ve got my top five from the week for you…

First FAVORITE of the week is our SNOW DAY! Yes, I know those of you who live up north are rolling your eyes at the amount of snow in the pictures. However, our Texas roads are not prepared for that so everything shuts down when the ground is covered. Yesterday Tab and I both worked while the kids played with friends but we wrapped it up early so we could join them late afternoon.

Bowen was living his best life! Years ago on another snow day we drove to a hill in our town and we passed our current neighborhood. On that day, we fell in love with our neighborhood and knew we wanted to be there.

And so was Britt! Do you see her at the top of the hill with her arms up in the air? She LOVES to sled and apparently has a little of Elsa running through her veins because the “cold doesn’t bother her” much at all!

Pictured above…the two biggest weenies in our family who got cold and walked home.

I’ve shared this before but it’s worth another share…Matchless Bible Study by Angie Smith. I’m on week five and we’re digging into all the miracles Jesus performed. I’ve read these verses many times but we’re taking a new look and well-it’s a FAVORITE again this week! My Bible study time by the fire yesterday morning with snow on the ground was a little extra sweeter.

Another FAVORITE-getting pictures like these from one of my clients while she’s visiting the most magical place on earth.

This is THE perfect way to spend a birthday, right?

Absolutely magical.

Over at Mix and Match Travel Agency we’ve been working hard on sending many clients to Walt Disney World so far in 2022. If you’re contemplating a Disney vacation, please reach out to us! We’d love to help you!

Another FAVORITE? Knowing the Winter Olympics starting TODAY are being held in a a city we visited years ago. This was us posing in front of where the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics took place. My FAVORITE winter events to watch is figure skating.

Clearly this is an old picture but I’m constantly thinking about what are true FAVORITES from my week and this slow cooker right here could really make the list each week. This is the star of the Slaughter Dinner Show most nights. This slow cooker allows you to brown meat right inside so no dirtying up multiple pans, it’s large-way bigger than my previous slow cooker, and the all-clad cookware keeps food from really sticking.

*************************

That’s all I’ve got for you! Now I’m off to get a little work done before we enjoy one more day off from school. Thanks for reading and have the best weekend!

XO

I’ve been debating buying that slow cooker! Love that you can brown the meat inside. I would LOVE for you to share your weekly dinner menu, even the simplest ones. 🙂 it’s always a challenge.

I’ve wondered about Matchless…on the hunt for a new study. We got yesterday off but the bad weather didn’t reach far enough so we are back to work today!

I’m in Maine where we’re getting another foot of snow dumped on us today (after almost 2 feet on Saturday). 😄 Have the best day playing in the TX snow!! It really is so pretty, right?!

Your snow day looks like a lot of fun. I am usually the wuss that quits first and heads home with whatever kid decides he has had enough (usually my middle son who is legit allergic to the cold and breaks out in hives).
