Let’s Look-Summer Schedules

Hey There, Friends! I’m officially a week late to this linky-party but better late than never, right? Last week, Shay shared her summer schedule but I was in Portugal taking the week off. I decided to pop in today to share a little about our summer schedule. Before I dive into this topic, I want to catch you up so far…

In January we shared our closets. Spoiler alert, my girl, Lauren, and I are still trying to find a day for her to come and help me. Promise to show you pics when she’s finished though!

In February, we discussed the little things we do every day. From coffee to walking to chatting with girlfriends, I shared all the things I sneak in my days to make them a little extra special

In March, we shared a look at our grocery carts. I find myself enjoying other’s grocery store hauls in search of some new food ideas. Hope it helped you too!

In April, we took a peek at our quiet times and what that looks like/even means!

Last month, we took a look at our summer closet staples.

Today, we’re chatting SUMMER SCHEDULES!

I must tell you my years where they were this age…

were WAY different! Our schedules back then were much simpler. The kids would have a sports camp or we’d run errands before hitting the pool while simultaneously eating lunch {and my mom self just knocked out one meal where I wasn’t responsible for cleaning the kitchen}. Then we’d go home for me to work and kids to chill. They were some of my favorite days.

Don’t worry, I’m still enjoying my summer days but now they look more like…

BAHAHAHAHAHA! My 2024 summer looks very different. ;). The first week of summer had two camps for my people. Week two had FIVE camps {what was I thinking?}. And this week no one is in a camp!

My 2024 Summer Plans:

*I’m learning that with two teens, one pre-teen, and one elementary school aged kid our schedule has to be REALLY fluid! No two weeks with ever be alike so I’m leaning into the uniqueness of each week of summer. Sometimes we’ll have lots of camps and places to be while other weeks will have more space for downtime. ENJOY it all!

*Carpools will be my BFF. My two older kids have workouts all summer at different times with different locations so those two drop-offs/pick-ups alone could drive me crazy! Instead I’m teaming up with other moms each week to share those duties. And it’s REALLY helping!

*I can’t do it all so when necessary, ask for help. This week that looked like me calling my mother-in-law to see if she could help with a ride. Sometimes that looks like me paying a sitter to help. Each week is different. Are you sensing my theme?

*I prefer to work during big chunks of time, but summer doesn’t allow me that luxury. So instead I start in the morning popping onto my computer and work intermittently as much as I can throughout the day.

*Embrace the relaxing schedule. During the school year, we have to be locked in with what’s happening every day. I’m truly embracing the later bedtimes, chill days, ice cream after dinner, etc.

*I write it ALL DOWN! Because of the constant craziness of summer, I have to write every little thing down or I forget.

And that’s it, friends! That’s a little peek at our summer schedule. What are you doing this summer?!

I hope to see you back here in July!

XO
