What’s Up Wednesday! I’m gonna link up with Sheaffer and Shay to answer a little about what’s going on around here!
What We’re Eating This Week
Monday-I made this taco/crescent roll thing. It was mehhh….I wouldn’t recommend it. We scraped the taco meat off the crescent rolls to finish off the leftovers yesterday at lunch and I won’t be making that again.
Tuesday-Last night we had Shay’s Sausage Corn Chowder. I don’t know what happened to the North Texas weather but it gave us a small glimpse into fall. I leaned in and had that chowder in the slow cooker all day.
Wednesday-Tonight, my brother’s in town for work so I’m hoping we meet up for dinner but I also have bbq chicken in the slow cooker for anyone who doesn’t make that dinner out. {Some kids won’t be making it because of practice.}
Thursday-I’m doing a quick chicken spaghetti with protein noodles and veggies on the side.
Friday-GAME DAY!!
What I’m Reminiscing About

Remember when I took Bowen and a friend to Tab’s Sunday night game in Baltimore last year? I was just thinking about this trip recently. The weather was perfect and it was ALL things FALL + FOOTBALL!
What I’m Loving
SLOW COOKER SEASON!!! I’m loving the fact that I’m on my “A” game when it comes to meals! {Won’t last long so I’m enjoying it!}
What We’ve Been Up To

This weekend was a FUN one! Friday night, Tab had the Dallas Cowboys preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons. It’s a rarity for Tab to be officiating right here in Dallas so even though it was a preseason game we made it a REALLY big deal. We got a Sprinter Van to fit LOTS of teens and let the Bowen, Nixon & Ebby Lee go. The boys took lots of friends and we made it a special thing. I’ve said before this officiating thing is something we try to make a family thing so any chance we get we want to take friends or do something to make it special. So I met the van and thirteen teens in a certain location to catch a ride to Cowboys Stadium. There was not an ounce of room in the back so I sat up front with the driver. He was very quiet and focused so it was a zen drive for me.

Before we knew it, we had arrived!! We had seats in different locations so Nixon and his group set together {in a different level/section} while the rest of us were together.

We spotted #110 before the game even started.

No matter what stadium I’m in this part of the night is always special.

And before we knew it, #110 had switched to…

THE REFEREE! Not for good! He’s the back up referee on his crew this year and every year during the third pre-season game is when back ups take over to practice at that position. It just made it extra fun that he got to take over for the first time doing this WHILE we were in the stadium watching. We had so much fun! I think after getting everyone home I got in bed around 12:50 p.m. I don’t remember the last time I’ve stayed up that late, but it was so worth it!

The next morning softball mom duties were calling my name early so I was up and at the softball fields.

To see this cutie and her Candy Crushers’ team take the Fireflies. WE WON making it a GREAT Saturday morning!
What I’m Working On

{This pic was from last year} Every year I try to make the first GAME DAY special so I’m working on my “set up” for this year! I’m recycling all that decor and maybe adding a few new pieces.
What I’m Excited About

It’s OFFICIALLY FOOTBALL SEASON! Next week ALL of my kids are back to playing games and I’m REALLY excited about getting to see as much as I possibly can.
What I’m Wearing

I snagged this outfit when I was out last week. I have a thing right now for a wide leg or barrel type leopard pant. I can’t get enough! I love how this pattern is unique plus the fit is different. I sized down one but almost could have sized down two in the pants. {Keep that in mind.}. Top is here, leopard pants here, stadium purse here.

This outfit is a work out tank paired with a tennis skirt. Best part? All from Amazon!

One summer day I was dreaming about fall and darker colors when Athleta’s email showcasing this new “Wildberry” color came across my inbox. I added to my cart immediately and well, I just realized my color is sold out but this bomber jacket still comes in many other colors.
What I’m Reading

I’ve been trying to dig into this book but all the great television shows happening right now coupled with my early bedtime just aren’t allowing it. However, The Cliffs is what I’ll be reading next…whenever that day comes.
What I’m Watching

Well, I fell asleep during the episode we watched last night so I’m only halfway through episode four. I’m REALLY enjoying this one!
What I’m Listening To
The SILENCE…one of the positives of kids going back to school is there are now moments of my day where the house is so quiet. {It can be sad too but right this second as I type it’s nice.}
What I’m Doing This Weekend

We have the first BIG game of the season for Nixon!

We’re hosting Ebby Lee’s varsity cheer team next week so we have a few things we need to do to get ready this weekend! Lots of FOOTBALL watching-have you seen Saturday’s line-up, fun with friends, and church!

Thank you, Elspeth!!
The highlight of our month was watching Tab on Friday night!! We are still beaming like proud parents. 🙂
HAHAHAHA!!!
Have to ask have you seen the meme going around about Taylor Swift’s engagement with Tab in it? 🙂
YES!!! Hilarious that HE’S in there! BAHAHAHA!
I saw a meme on NFL memes on FB and it was a picture of NFL refs. The caption said Travis Kelce’s groomsmen. I’m pretty sure Tab is in the picture. Let me know if you find it. 😀😀😀
GIRL…YES!!! HOW did he make it onto a famous meme?! Hilarious!
Watching Tab was one of my favorites of the week too! He was awesome!
AWWWWW!!! We enjoyed his fifteen minutes of fame too!
