Happy, Happy Monday! How was your weekend?! Ours included lots of baseball {yes, it’s still happening}, a softball game, and a football game…

Friends, READY OR NOT…

WAHOOOOOO!!! Are you READY?!
Practices have been going strong for weeks, uniforms are all ready, scrimmages have happened, cheers have been learned and memorized, it’s FINALLY FOOTBALL TIME!
To get us all in the spirit, I thought I’d share some of our FAVORITE football movies/shows.

Not all of these are super kid friendly so please check the ratings before you watch. These are funny, inspiring, GREAT movies to get you ready for football season!
And right now there are some AMAZING football shows out there. These are some of the Slaughter faves…
*Friday Night Lights
*Quarterback
*Receiver
*SEC Football: Any Given Saturday
*30 for 30 {there are MANY of these}
*America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders
*Untold {many of those too!!}
*Last Chance U
*Hard Knocks

We started watching America’s Team: The Gambler & His Cowboys this weekend and you should add it to your list! Again, not all of these are young kid appropriate.
Now it’s YOUR TURN! What are you watching to get you in the FOOTBALL spirit?!
Ready or not, it’s here…
XO

I love the variety of the shows and movies!
Thanks for sharing

I completely agree!
We are LOVING America’s Team! And I can’t even count how many times we’ve watched Rudy. It’s a Top 10 favorite for sure!
YES!!
Yes and yes!! There are SO MANY great things to watch right now to get us into the spirit! I loved America’s Team and the SEC one even more than I did Quarterback (and I really liked that too!).
AGREE!! They were all sooo good!
One TV stays on the NFL Network, so all the preseason games. I’m ready for some football!!
Love this Leslie!!
You’ve got to add Facing The Giants to your list of football movies!! My kids love it and it’ll stick with your kids, and your family, for a long time!!
Oh my gosh! We love that movie! I just forgot it when I made the graphic! I’m so glad you shared!
Ok – I’m just catching up in blog world and just read your college tour post. I’ve been a longtime reader, so it was so exciting to see you guys visit my alma mater, UTK. Choosing UT was the best decision I’ve ever made, and I still live in Knoxville now.
Just throwing it out there – I think it was AWESOME to choose a school that had a “real” city around it, not just one that was totally collegiate (like Bama/Auburn/MSU). College towns are SO fun your first few years, but as you get to be a junior/senior, it’s nice to have places to go that aren’t just campus. As she makes connections/does internships, it’s great to be in a place with businesses that you could potentially see yourself at post-college. For example – I studied Advertising and did my internship at Discovery Networks/HGTV, which used to be in Knoxville.
Just food for thought!! The Lord will lead her exactly where He wants her. But if that’s UTK… it was the perfect place for my faith to grow MASSIVELY (see the worship night that was just on campus!), a soft, friendly place to land when I left home, and a really cool city to kickstart my life in. Go Vols. 🙂
Oh Bailey! Thank you so much for the sweet message. She really liked all four schools but I’d say she LOVED TN!
