The Bestie Breakdown Episode 3 and LONDON!

Have you seen the meme that says something about there are two weeks until Halloween and then it’s basically Thanksgiving and so we should be sending out Christmas cards now?

You guys! There are ten, I repeat only ten, Fridays until Christmas Day. Is it taking you a minute for that to sink in too? TEN FRIDAYS!

Basically this might have been my quickest fall YET! WHERE is the time going?

As you start making your Christmas list, I have some fun for you today!

First up, The BESTIES are BACK!! Shay and I are back this week with Episode Three, Breaking Down Would You Rather.

We play a really funny {I laughed until I cried} game of Would You Rather, we discuss our emoji choices {maybe you use the emojis that make you old too}, and we answer questions about friend fights, skincare and more. My very favorite and most shocking topic might be the term, “community can”. I really hope you listen and let me know if you’re surprised too. This sure was a fun episode to record. I really hope you enjoy it! Happy Bestie Breakdown Day, Everyone!

You can always listen on your favorite podcast platform or find all the episodes right here on Anchor.

Last week after Breaking Down our First Timer’s Guide to Oktoberfest, Shay and I shared all our pictures from our trip to Germany a few weeks ago. This week we’re covering part two of the trip by recapping our London portion.

To remind you, we flew to Munich Tuesday, saw the sights, explored Oktoberfest on Wednesday, visited the concentration camp Thursday morning and then took an evening flight to London….

By the time we got to our hotel it was later that night, but the lobby of our hotel was a mood. This hotel was super nice. We were laughing because in both hotels {Germany and London} one room was a little bigger than the other. The Shulls got lucky with the big room in Germany and we were the winners in London…

A nice room that overlooks the courtyard.

Friday morning we were all ready to hit the city to see all the things! A quick selfie first….sweatercoathat {also on sale}, and boots {I can only recommend the boots for a small time. I wore them way too long, walking way too much. My toes are still kind of numb from these boots. YIKES!}

We walked by many sights {and I think my pics are out of order a bit}…but the gorgeous Tower Bridge didn’t disappoint. This really isn’t the “London bridge is falling down…” but we did hear a child singing it and who can blame him. 🙂

We popped into the cutest British pub for lunch. There’s just something about the vibe or decor of a pub that makes them all have this uniquely cozy feature. We split the fish and chips and some kind of pie…delish!

Then we made our way through Chinatown and it was gorgeous!

{I couldn’t get these in the correct order-I apologize}. Here we are in front of that bridge. 🙂

Buckingham Palace…super cool to see! There was so much gold!

That afternoon we had a pub tour and our guide made that experience so much fun! We visited several different pubs, he shared all about the history of the area with some really cool stories, and he’d suggest what to eat/drink at each stop.

And then we got dressed up for a really nice dinner. Hard to see but this was my dress.

Saturday morning we hit the road again to do a little more sightseeing. I bought these pants at the end of summer with a perfect fall day in mind…who knew it’d happen first in London?! Pants and plaid top.

Tab had some NFL meetings this morning so Andrew, Shay, and I got started. He joined us right before lunch. Andrew’s face in the picture above-well, it’s one of my favorite trip stories. We visited the Piccadilly market and as we were standing checking out a little vendor’s spot Andrew noticed something on his neck/collar. I couldn’t contain myself-BIRD POOP! I died laughing. Little did I know, I’d been hit by this mysterious bird as well. {that’s what I get for laughing!}. We cracked up {well maybe not Andrew}. What are the odds?! Isn’t it good luck or something?

Check out how CUTE that little pub is!

After another adorable pub lunch, we visited the Churchill War Rooms. I didn’t take any pictures inside, but it was such a great museum. We had a hand-held guided device telling us all the things as we walked through. It was a really interesting museum and then I found this mug in the gift shop. Bowen listens to Tech Ni9e before games and they have a song with part of Churchill’s speak in it. So needless to say, we hear that speech quite a bit.

After the museum, we got dressed for another fun dinner out. I don’t even remember the last time I had a blazer but this one caught my eye….blazer {sold out but where I grabbed mine}, bodysuit, and leather pants.

But first we hit up this rooftop bar overlooking the city with THE BEST VIEWS!!

SUCH gorgeous views!

Sunday was GAME DAY! And while you could see the London game at 9:30ish {central time} here, kickoff was at 2:30 so we had a bit of the morning to get out. These mums and this front porch were stunning. We had a delicious brunch just a bit after this picture. Before we made our way over to…

THE STADIUM!

It was there in the seats we realized it was our first NFL game together and their first time to see Tab “do his thing”. We had so much fun!

The energy in the stadium was exactly what you want. The fans were a huge mix of Saints, Vikings, and British guests just excited to watch some American football. It was just the perfect combo!

There’s my #110! The game ended up being so close {which is just like I like them}. We had the best day! After the game, the NFL had a little reception set up for all the crew and staff who were in town. Their food spread was legit and they had televisions set up showing the other NFL games happening back here in the States. And then we snuck out for one last fun dinner before leaving really early the next day for an early flight home.

My goodness we fit a LOT into a week from Oktoberfest to the NFL game we packed in some FUN!
