What a week! We’ve “moved”, had a sweet little Fall Break and are halfway finished with one of the shortest/longest weeks we’ve had this entire year. I was at Britt and Bowen’s elementary school yesterday and one of the teachers said, “Oh, I feel like it should be Tuesday”. I responded with, “Tuesday? I feel like we’re on our SECOND THURSDAY!” hahahaha! She assured me that was a normal “mom” feeling. 🙂
Anyone else feeling this way? Either way, it’s FRIDAY! WAHOO! Andrea and I are here to share some Friday Favorites with you. These are just some randoms from my week!

First FAVORITE, a quick Let’s Look shout out! Shay and I both completely forgot about our link-up this week. {Remember what I said about this weirdly long week?}. I’m so sorry to anyone who linked up on Wednesday! The theme was HALLOWEEN COSTUMES! And I LOVE a Halloween costume. Let’s take a little look at some costumes from the past…

2009-Sixth month old Ebby Lee dressed up like a goldfish for her very first Halloween. I found it at a resale shop and thought it was super cute and in such great condition so I snagged it. I think the costume was from Children’s Place though?

2010-For Nixon’s first Halloween, we dressed him up as a half football player/half football. I bought the costume on Amazon. Then I found an etsy shop that sold the cutest little tutus/shirt combos. Ebby Lee went as a little cheerleader. Her costume doubled as a “we’re cheering for the refs” later when we went to one of Tab’s games that season.

2011-Some friends had a big Halloween party and our family was supposed to dress up. I borrowed these Flintsones’ costumes from a friend.

2012-At this age Nixon was already obsessed with dogs so baby Nix wanted to be a dog and I found the cutest little clown costume on another etsy shop.

2013-Ebby Lee had officially hit the princess craze. She dressed up like Rapunzel. Nixon wanted to be Batman and by default sweet baby Bowen was forced to wear a Robin costume that his mama bought two sizes too small.

2014-I had a Belle on my hands (who was hanging with Mulan) and a slew of Ninja Turtles.

2015-Ebby Lee and Nixon agreed to be Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf. And Bowen was all about dressing up like a dinosaur.

2016-The Mad Hatter and Alice in Wonderland trick-or-treated all night long with Lippy Lips (Shopkins), a tiger, and a Ninja Turtle.

2017-One of the Hocus Pocus witches, a candy fairy, Indiana Jones, Darth Vader and a panda bear all trick or treated together.

2018-Tab and I dressed up as Uncle Fester and Wednesday. We were joined by one of the Liv and Maddie’s twins, one of the Dumb and Dumber characters, Darth Vader {again because his other costume messed up}, and Olaf!

2019-Peanut Butter, Cindy Lou Who, a Baseball Player, Benny-the Jet-Rodriguez {from The Sandlot}, and Squints {also from the Sandlot} were all in attendance.

2020-Do you recognize Rip and Beth from Yellowstone? Patrick Mahomes, Anna, a hippie, and Ricky “Wild Thing” Vaughn were all there.

2021-Last year Halloween fell on a football night…womp womp…so Tab was MIA…Princess Tianna, Sandy from Rydell High, a baseball player, and a boxer joined me to trick or treat.
If you have some kiddos looking for a little inspiration, I hope this helps you a bit-especially in the boy department. Choosing costumes for boys can be a little tough.
If you joined us for the link-up, please add your blog so we can all get some great ideas! Thank you!

Can I share a, “Honorable Mention” in the FAVE department?

I’m giving Virgin River Season 4 an honorable mention. Calling it a FAVORITE is a little much, but I do enjoy the show. I’m finally getting caught up on what’s happening over in Virgin River. I can’t help but think WHEN will Charmaine ever have those twins?!! Season 11 at this point?

And that’s a wrap for my FAVES! Happy Weekend, Everyone! See you back here next week!

Happy FriYAY!! On those pumpkin cookies, my 16 yo came in one day with those and some pre made chocolate chip cookie dough, and proceeded to bake them together! They were sooo good!! She baked the chocolate chip ones for about 5 mins, then put the sugar cookie one on top and finished baking. Game changer!!
That sounds DELISH!!!
Have you read the Virgin River books? I like them even better than the show but the shows good
No, I haven’t! Are there many in the series?
FOR THE LOVE, CHARMAINE HAVE THOSE TWINS! How have we not talked about this?! Bahahaha! It’s been like two years!
I keep thinking the producers might play a big trick and next season will be the twins in college or something crazy like that?
Can you share where you purchased the SQUAD purple Halloween shirt? Happy Friday!
It’s been a couple years. I can’t remember but I do think they have them on Jane.com, etsy and probably Amazon.
I can’t wait to see your countertops! You know you are an adult when countertops excite you. We did a house reno 2 years ago and although it was a mess going through it the end result is amazing and I would do it all over again. Hang in there!!
We’re so close, Jenny! Thanks for the sweet words!
Boy costumes are so hard! My 4 wanted to be ninja turtles but I couldn’t find them anywhere. Do you remember where you found yours years ago?
Online…ugh! That’s not very helpful! I’m so sorry!
