I couldn’t let another week slip by without sharing a little football talk. According to the feedback, it seems you girls are my people! You enjoy a little football talk as well! So here we go! Let’s cover a few of the BIG games this weekend….
- Hello Tennessee Volunteers! We see you out there slaying the Alabama Crimson tide this weekend! I think what Nick Saban has done at Alabama is absolutely amazing. He has a true gift but what I enjoy more than Saban’s gift is seeing a wide variety of teams be successful. And it was definitely Tennessee’s turn! Now that I’m on the topic of Tennessee, I’ve gotta share this story. In third grade at the end of the day our teacher, Ms. Choate, would let Misty, a fellow student, sing Rocky Top. I’m sure it didn’t happen daily but that’s how my third grade self remembers the story. By the end of third grade every kid in my class knew all the words to Rocky Top by heart complete with verses! Now was Ms. Choate a secret Vols fan or was Misty? Who knows? But by the end of third grade, you’d have thought my entire class was bleeding orange.
- Speaking of orange, the game I saw half of {which happened to be the worst half} was the Oklahoma State/TCU game. And in a fun turn of events those horned frogs defeated those pokes. Ebby Lee performed with lots of other middle schools at half time but in order to prepare she had to be at the stadium at 9:00 a.m. which meant I thought it’d be a good idea to leave early. But really it means WE MISSED THE BEST PART OF THE GAME! What was I thinking?!
- Keeping it real after my busy Saturday, I didn’t see the entire game but #20 Utah defeating #7 USC was big! My Big 12 loving heart can’t say that I was sad to see Lincoln Riley get the “L”.
- The big NFL game we watched this weekend was the Bills/Chiefs game and WAY TO GO, BILLS! What a game that was to watch! Bowen was having such an internal dilemma…our fantasy team needed the Bills to play well but the Chiefs are his team.
- And then our own Dallas Cowboys were defeated by their rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles. Another sidenote, years ago when Tab and I were young without kids we went to the Eagles/Cowboys game for Terrell Owen’s return to Philly {but playing them as a Cowboy}. Super fun atmosphere but REALLY intense!
Did you read my London recap from yesterday?

The BIG NFL game we got to see {and Tab officiated} in London was between the New Orleans Saints and the Minnesota Vikings. Again…it was SUCH a great game! Both teams brought the fans and great energy. In honor of them today, look what fashion I’ve got for you…

VOLS fan here! Still soaking in this epic win!
You deserve it!
The Saints color palette just speaks to me 🙂 .
Maybe we’ve been thinking ALL WRONG! Maybe the Saints should be your team?
You Football Fashion is SO CUTE!!!! Love the suggestions!
Thanks, Sheaffer!
Always and forever a Chiefs fan – that Chiefs Bills game could have gone either way and this time it was the Bills. That’s OK. These teams will meet again in the playoffs. Go Chiefs!
I’m HERE for a close game always! And that game didn’t disappoint!
