Summer Day

I think most of you are experiencing summer days at this point! Kids at home, late nights, less of a schedule, and if your house is like mine….a revolving door of extra kids, rides needed, meals being requested, and laundry. hahahaha! But here’s the truth…

I LOVE it! 🙂

I will tell you-a couple days ago I was trying to go pick a kid up from a friends’ house, the sky had opened up and it was pouring rain, Nixon kicked a bucket under my car {just accidentally rolled} and the bucket got STUCK {yes, STUCK under my car}, Tab was out of town, a client had just called so I was trying to do ALL of this using hand signals to Nixon while talking to my client and getting the bucket out from under my car. SUMMER DAYS can be CRAZY!! Nix and I spent a long time in the rain trying to pry this bucket out from under my car. We were wet, I was starting to get frantic that I’d be driving the rest of my life with this bucket under the car, and finally I called Bruce who solved the puzzle in five seconds. {Thank goodness for parents!}

The point of all this is my days are probably very similar to yours….you’re working from home, shuttling kids, covering household duties, and making some great memories. :). We’ll NEVER forget the bucket incident of 2024.

I’ve decided to dust off my Insta-stories and share a look at a random summer Wednesday in the Slaughter House. I can’t promise it’ll be smooth sailing but I can only hope it doesn’t involve rain and a bucket. 😉
