My Nighttime Skincare Routine

Ladies, let me tell you…a sweet reader reached out and asked me to post about my nightly skincare routine. I absolutely love getting blog ideas from you so I jotted it down to remember right after I wrote her back to let her know that the topic is on my list. But when I grabbed my nighttime products to share I thought, well this is gonna be a short post. I’ve had times in my life where I have a six step nightly routine and other times where I have a three step routine. Right now this is working and it’s EASY so I’m going with it! It honestly doesn’t take much outside of consistency to make your skincare game work for you!

Here’s my line-up….

Kale + Green Tea Spinch Vitamins Superfood Cleanser, Clarins Double Serum , Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream

Youth to the People Superfoods Cleanser-I actually discovered this product in the check out aisle at Sephora. Those small sizes get me EVERY SINGLE TIME! I added the travel size to my basket and loved the cleanser. Now, it’s my go to!

Clarins Double Serum-I heard about this serum for years and years before I finally decided to try it myself. And I’m loving it so much I just ordered the Eye Firming Concentrate Serum. I use the serum both morning and night before applying my moisturizer. My skin leans more dry {and wrinkly} so I really do my best to add a lot of moisture back into my skin. I’ve learned over time how much better hydrated skin looks than dry skin so if you’re like me and have really dry skin, slather on the moisture as well.

Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream-This is actually my second jar of this moisturizer and I’m typically someone who likes to try new products. I’m not loyal to one certain brand so it’s rare for me to go back to commit to another jar. But I totally did! I’m a huge fan of this moisturizer. It gives my skin a great dewy base for me to then add make-up. A bonus is Tatcha products are all clean!

And that wraps it up! Pretty short and sweet! What about YOU? What’s your go-to night time product?

XO

I love, love Colleen Rothschild’s Radiant Cleansing Balm at night for removing my makeup!

Good recommendations! I love BeautyBio eyelighter, Elemis facial wash + resurfacing pads, and then Gold Bond neck and chest firming cream.

Hey Erika! Thanks for the post! Curious, do you still use Colleen Rothschild products? If not, would be curious to know why? I started using the products a while back, but honestly not “wowed” by them. Wondering what you think?
Have you tried Drunk Elephant products? How about Paula’s Choice products?

    Thanks! 😊

Hi Brooke! I tried the Colleen Rothschild products {and MANY of my friends use and love} and they were fine but didn’t work well enough that I felt the need to replenish and keep using. I thought I’d try something else. I might go back {because when I tell you my friends love them, they do} to see if I’d like them more now? I’ve tried a few Drunk Elephant products but no Paula’s Choice.

I’m like the poster child for not doing the popular things but it works for me so… my skin hates moisturizer and I get milia when I use it. I’ve tried every brand/type under the Sun bc I’m 53 and it’s supposed to be good fad you age. So I just use regular Dove bar soap to wash my face, Clinique toner after I wash it – and that’s it!! My skin isn’t tight, I don’t have acne or trouble spots. My dermatologist said “don’t fix it if it ain’t broke” LOL. I wish I loved all the skin care bc it sounds so fun, but my skin just doesn’t love it.
