Leather Weather

We’ve all heard of Sweater Weather and who am I kidding? Right now I’m yearning for Sweater Weather. That cool brisk air, leaves falling from the trees and the need for a sweater to keep me cozy. YES! Depending on where you live you might be able to get away with wearing sweaters most of the year, but here in Texas there are only certain times where we won’t sweat to death in a sweater. The same can be said for leather. Leather nowadays comes in so many fashionable options…shorts, skorts, skirts, pants, dresses, jackets…you know it! The cute options are basically endless! However, there are only certain months out of the year where the Texas weather dictates when I can add leather to my wardrobe. Don’t you remember this?

No one has time to be Ross dressed in their leather when it’s WAY TOO HOT outside!

On a side note, I had this exact thing happen to me but I was wearing super tight, low rise skinny jeans at a football game in September. I would have guessed the temperature was in the triple digits but I went to a website that you enter the date and it tells you temperatures of past dates. I’m here to tell you the high that day in Columbia, Missouri, where I was watching the game was just 85. I promise you I got into the bathroom, pulled those tight jeans down and had a semi-panic attack thinking I was NEVER gonna get my pants back up. Have you had this happen?! IT. WAS. TERRIFYING!!

The good news for us is…the weather will be cooling down soon AND leather weather is right around the corner! Leather is ON TREND this fall/winter season so it’s time to add a few pieces to our closets. Guess who’s here to help? Walmart! I found a few pieces that won’t break the bank but will have you leather weather ready in no time! Walmart is here to help!

I’m gonna go from left to right on this collage…this fudge colored faux leather dress has great reviews! It also comes in black and is such a great economical way to step up your Sunday morning church game or add a little spice to your work wardrobe. The faux leather cargo pants can be paired with so many fall or winter tops, you’ll have a ton of new looks for your closet. These light tan western slouchy boots can be worn with jeans, skirts, shorts, and dresses! I love the look of a light boot and this price point is an amazing way to give this trend a shot. The high rise coated jeans are such a gorgeous silhouette on any body type. The faux leather leggings are such a versatile piece of any closet…dressed up or dressed down you’ll love them. Loafers are all the rage this season, and I love that these are priced so well. HOW CUTE is the faux leather jacket with a faux collar? As well as the faux leather button-up…worn with something as a jacket or as a shirt. And my favorite of the bunch might be this faux leather skort!
