EEEEKKKK!!!! Happy SEPTEMBER, Everyone!
I was told one time {and I STRONGLY remember the conversation} the weather is the MOST boring topic but I just can’t quit discussing it. I think because we start school so early I expect the temperature to start cooling off in August, which is never the case. However I have HIGH hopes for September. Fingers crossed this is the month where we start to see low 90’s {at the VERY least!}. Has it been crazy hot where you are too?
I’m teaming up today with my girl, Andrea, to share my FAVORITES from the week! Here we go…
First up and maybe even my FAVORITE of the week…Shay and I are doing a new September Instagram photo challenge and we’d love for you to join us! I don’t know about you, but often I get so overwhelmed with what to share on Instagram that I end up not sharing a single thing! I have a full blown GAME DAY GEAR post headed your way soon but I couldn’t wait to share these new FAVORITE finds with you….
First of all, look how CUTE the packaging was when the hats arrived.
I LOVE it! There are five different designs and then fourteen different hat colors. I kept going back to the Game Day hat. It’s my absolute FAVORITE! We technically have four different football teams we’re cheering for this season so my plan was to score a hat that matched for each game day. This is what I ordered…Royal and White Hat with Sparkly Red Letters. Ebby Lee’s freshman team and our local high school are red, white, and blue so it’s pefect!
On Saturdays, one of Bowen’s football teams {he plays for two but I only snagged one hat} is the Tigers. They use purple and gold like LSU {their coach is a big LSU fan} so I grabbed this purple hat with gold sparkly letters. Again, there were four other hat designs but I just kept going back to the Game Day hats so I stuck with what I loved.
And last but certainly not least, Nixon’s middle school team colors are navy and yellow. I grabbed the white hat because I wanted the letters to show up and thought the yellow pin added the perfect bit of yellow.
Game Day Hat, football necklace, and game day stack…I’m READY! 😉

Those Wednesday night lights this past week were some of my FAVORITE! I absolutely love getting to see my kids do things they enjoy and this happens to be one of Ebby Lee’s favorite things! The weather was GREAT on Wednesday evening which made it even more fun.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a single picture of this for you but we had a new FAVORITE dinner this past week. It’s perfect for busy weeknights. I browned two pounds of lean ground beef, added our favorite burger seasonings, cut a package of 12 Hawaiian rolls in half and added the bottom half to a 9 X 13 pan. Topped with cheese, most of the ground beef, and then the tops of the rolls. I added a little bit of garlic powder and some avocado oil spray to the tops. Baked them until they were warm. I served them with sweet potato puffs and they were a family favorite. We’re in that stage where we either eat dinner at 4:30 or 8:30. These were perfect because everyone ate early and then when we got home they all had another little burger. Tab and I added the extra ground beef to ours and ate ours with an open face roll as well as added toppings. They were GOOD and super easy!

Last week I got a few messages about how College Game Day did start last week BUT it was kind of the pre-heating version of College Game Day. The REAL all-in premier is THIS WEEK! You guys know it’s my FAVORITE thing about Saturday mornings!

Two new FAVORITE tops…I wore this new top {that will be REALLY darling with some wide leg denim but we’re not there yet with the weather} with my cut offs.
I absolutely LOVE this top. It’s a pretty thick material so I’ll be able to wear it with denim until probably November here in Texas. It can be worn with dress pants, denim, and skirts. It also comes in a neutral tan/white stripe as well. If your school colors include green, you don’t wanna miss this!

Okay, friends-I’m OFF! Our kids are out of school today for an extra long Labor Day weekend so we’re getting out of town early for some FOOTBALL! I hope you guys have the best weekend!
