IT’S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR!
The sights and sounds of Christmas are everywhere! When I’m out and about, everyone seems a little more jolly. Most people I greet have big smiles on their faces. And there’s a thrill of hope in the air.
You guys ,I could go on and on. Are you feeling it too?
A few days ago driving around in my car I heard this song, “Heaven Everywhere”, by Francisca Battistelli. This song explains the magic in the air so well. I’m clearly late to the party because the song was released back in 2012 {but if you read here yesterday then you know in 2012, I had baby Bowen and the entire Christmas season was a blur}.
Here are the lyrics…
“I hear the bells, they’re ringing loud and clear
You can’t help but love this time of year
It’s Christmastime, there’s something in the air
There’s a little bit of heaven everywhere
Somehow there’s a little more of love
And maybe there’s a little less of us
Or maybe we’re just slightly more aware
There’s a little bit of heaven everywhere
It’s the smile on a man who has finally found hope
It’s the tears of a mother whose child has come home
It’s the joy that we feel and the love that we share
There’s a little bit of heaven everywhere
There’s a little bit of heaven everywhere
It’s funny how it takes a holiday
To show us how the world could truly change
If we all took the time to really care
There’d be a little more of heaven everywhere
It’s the grace that we show to a world that needs hope
It’s giving our lives knowing they’re not our own
It’s the joy that we feel and the love that we share
There’s a little bit of heaven everywhere
There’s a little bit of heaven everywhere
Angels we have heard on high
Sweetly singing o’er the plain
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their joyous strains
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
It’s the joy that we feel and the love that we share
There’s a little bit of heaven everywhere…”
You can listen to the entire song HERE.
Amidst the hustle and bustle, Christmas parties, Christmas card addressin’, the Christmas wrapping, and all the things….I urge you to look closely for a little bit of heaven everywhere today. It’s so easy to see this time of year. And maybe we can share a little of that to those we encounter as well.
Happy Thursday, Friends!

This song is one of my favorites! I sang it at church a few years ago. Love the lyrics!
It is a great song and I am embarrassed to say that I've heard it several times on pandora this Christmas season but haven't actually sat and listened to the words so THANK U for the reminder!!!!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!
I love this post! I can totally relate to things being a “Blur” after just having a baby. I still get embarrassed about the things I don’t remember after our 3rd hold was born the whole year was a blur! I’ve never heard this song before…gonna find it tomorrow!
I just heard this song for the first time last week. Just now realized (from you) that it's not a new song! Love the lyrics of it.
