Happy Friday! Whew! The flu is over and I’m feeling great! It knocked me down for a LONG time! If you’re feeling crummy, hang in there, friends! I’m here with my girl, Andrea, to share some FAVORITES from the week and I promise it’s not just Saltines + Gatorade Zeros. However, those two were the true champions of my week. 😉
First FAVORITE…we’re all Champ obsessed around here! I’m writing this just in case you are a new puppy owner like me and I want you to know the minute Champ turned 15 weeks old, it immediately got easier! He goes to the door most of the time to be let out for a restroom break. I’m SO NERVOUS TO TYPE this…he hasn’t had an accident all week. He’s just so much more chill. He’s knows what’s coming in his day to day schedule. He’s just SO MUCH EASIER! If I could go back to new puppy owner Erika, I’d hug her and tell her her it’s gonna be REAL TOUGH for a solid month but then it’ll get so much easier.

For the first time I got outside yesterday for a walk and well, it was a FAVORITE! The weather + me feeling so much better = PERFECTION! Don’t underestimate a walk, your favorite podcast and an hour. It can do your body some good!

I’m not sure about you but we’re having a weird warm front happening right now. The second it gets cooler, you need to make this Slow Cooker Beef Stew. I made it on Wednesday and while my kids all turned their noses to its’ appearance, they ALL ate it and loved it! I added fresh green beans to cook in the slow cooker all day so we had tons of veggies plus the lean stew meat. New FAVORITE!
Speaking of that, all year long but especially this time of year my slow cooker is my FAVORITE kitchen appliance! Anything I make that needs to be browned first can be browned directly in the slow cooker {on the brown feature first} and then I switch it to slow cooker. SO easy!

This is gonna be the blog post with hardly ANY pics! I’m trying the “Heart Attack” activity this Valentine’s Day season. I’m sure you’ve seen where you list a positive attribute about your kids on a heart and tape it to their mirror every day for the first 14 days of February. If you’re just reading and wanna start now, start on Sunday and do it for ten days or whatever! I’ve listened to several podcasts lately about parenting teens and the overall theme is positive talk. So it seems like such a great way to do that. Will my kids roll their eyes at me? Absolutely! But deep down will they like it? Yes! Just my friendly reminder to make the next two weeks a little special!
And another mom friendly reminder-get some Valentine’s Day gifts ordered for your people now! I’m thinking some athletic clothes, make-up, craft stuff, etc. for my crew.

You guys! This is the most short and sweet Friday post. I apologize! I’ve spent the majority of my week recovering. Promise to be back next week with some fun! Lots of entertainment coming your way on Monday AND Valentine Box ideas!! Thanks for reading today, friends!
XO

I am SO thankful you are feeling better! My world is just not right knowing you’re in bed sick. 😉
I am glad you are feeling better now.
My girls hate the idea of hearty stews but always wolf them down. The beef one sounds delicious.
Well, it might have been short and sweet….but now I want to make beef stew, come meet Champ, and write on some hearts for Carter!
