10 Reasons to Love FALL!

GUYS! Do you know what day has officially arrived? THE FIRST DAY OF FALL! Fall is officially my very favorite season. I think if we polled everyone reading today the majority would hands-down say FALL if their favorite! In fact, Shay and I did an entire podcast episode Breaking Down all the reasons we love fall! Just in case you’re one of the few people who wouldn’t have chosen fall in the poll, I’m going to do my best to convince you fall is the best season in this top ten list…

#1 THE WEATHER-Texas fall weather gets me every time. We get a couple days that dip into the 80’s and I’m pulling out all my fall clothes only to discover it’s WAY TOO HOT for those clothes! Fall officially on the calendar means the cooler days are coming.

#2 FALL FASHION-Give me ALL the fall layers, fall colors, and fall sweaters in my closet! YES, please! This picture is old but that mustard oversized sweater is still one of my favorite things to grab each fall.

#3 GORGEOUS COLORS-The leaves, the apples, the pumpkins…all the fall colors are just gorgeous.

#4 FOOTBALL IS BACK!-From middle school to our local high school team to college and the NFL, we are watching it all!

#5 ALL THE DAYS GET A LITTLE MORE COZY-The days get a little shorter, the weather has us going inside a little earlier and my people and I get to cozy up. I live for these kinds of days.

#6 FALL HOLIDAYS-Halloween, Thanksgiving, and I’m even going to throw in some special events like the State Fair and our local Oktoberfest.

#7 BACKYARD PATIO NIGHTS-A backyard patio evening with the fire…yes, yes, yes!

#8 PUMPKINS-Spying pumpkins on our front porch always brings a smile to my face. There’s just something a little magical about an entryway with pumpkins.

#9 FALL SCENTS-pumpkin spice, cinnamon, apples, cider, bonfire…they’re the very best.

#10 COMFORT FOOD-From soups to stews to casseroles and every hearty meal in between, my people are big fans of some comfort food that just makes more sense in the fall.

*Honorable Mention-Our house is supposed to be finished in the FALL! EEEEKKKK!
