What’s Up Wednesday-7.30.25

Before I dig into today’s topic, I’ve gotta wish this hubby of mine a HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! TWENTY YEARS ago on July 30, 2005, we said, “I DO”, in front of our family and friends in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The past twenty years haven’t been all sunshine and rainbows. We’ve weathered our fair share of storms, but we’ve come out stronger on this side. We had a big anniversary trip planned and well, life plus those four kids got in the way. We’re postponing for now but we’ll celebrate soon!

What’s Up Wednesday! I’m gonna link up with Sheaffer and Shay to answer a little about what’s going on around here!

What We’re Eating This Week

Ebby Lee and I will be eating our way through a little college tour this week.

What I’m Reminiscing About

OH MY HEART! This seems like yesterday and next month these girls will be on the varsity sidelines cheering.

Friday Night Lights just got way more fun! #timeslowdown

What I’m Loving

Just one Morgan Wallen concert was all I really needed to become a FAN! I’m LOVING his new album!

What We’ve Been Up To

You guys know football season is FUN but also can be exhausting for me {Tab is gone a LOT!}. I do my best to channel all my energy into getting myself and the kids REALLY excited about football season. One thing I like to do is have each of us {not Tab} but me and the kids choose “our own team”. Sometimes I order everyone a new sweatshirt or tee. Other times we just verbally all choose our team for the year. Then we all keep up with “our team”. Of course, trash talk is usually involved throughout the season. When our teams are playing each other there’s a lot more competitiveness in our house and it just gets everyone more excited. It’s fun to see who comes out victorious each and every season!

This year I ordered this tee for myself.

What I’m Working On

I’ve been working away over at Mix and Match Travel Agency. I’m a part of the Disney team that sends clients to Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and Disney Cruises! Please reach out to us if you’d like some help with an upcoming Disney vacation!

What I’m Excited About

If my kids heard me say this they’d say, “AIRBALL!”. But no one is gonna tell them I’m saying this, right? I’m REALLY excited about structure, a schedule, AND my SLOW COOKER! Yes, I get giddy around this time of year just thinking about how organized and “on it” I’ll kickoff the school year. 🙂

What I’m Wearing

Did you see my Monday’s post with all my Nordstrom Sale goodies? I’ll be wearing these jeans on repeat this fall season!

What I’m Reading

Ummmm….I’m almost finished with The Push and WHOAAAA!!! It’s a creepy thriller I can’t put down!

What I’m Watching

Last week I shared the top three shows I’ve been watching that are must watches!

What I’m Listening To

It’s LOUD in my house! I’m always hearing kids talking to each other. ALWAYS!

What I’m Doing This Weekend

I’m picking this cutie up from camp and then forcing everyone to go to a special dinner to celebrate MY BIRTHDAY!

Latest Amazon Purchase

I don’t know WHY these little delicious things ended up in my Amazon cart but I’m so thankful they did. These almond butter dates come three in a pack and they are SO GOOD!!

What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month

Next month I’m looking forward to everyone getting settled into a new school year!

Happy Wednesday, Friends!

XO

I love crockpot season too, but for some reason my kids always complain about those meals.
I read the Push last year, and I honestly can’t decide if I loved it or hated it. It was such a heavy, intense read.
    Happy Anniversary!

Stacy, mine complain often too! I’m on the hunt this year to make meals that don’t feel as “crockpot-y”. Know what I mean?? I’ll share if I find anything good. The Push WAS heavy but very unexpected!
