It’s SUMMER!! And I’m linking up with Sheaffer and Shay for their What’s Up Wednesday link-up! Each month they share a long list of questions answering what’s up. Let’s get right to it!

What We’re Eating This Week

This section of the blog post could get real tricky! haha!

Monday-Once a week in order to keep my sanity and simplify dinners without a kitchen we’re having cold things. This was Monday night and we had a variety of deli meats, cheeses, toppings, and dips. I totally added the dips to make the meal a little more fun. 😉

Tuesday-Marla had the family over for fried chicken! Delish!

Wednesday-I have a girl’s dinner with some friends so Tab is going to take the kids out to grab something quick.

Thursday-This is a busy sports night for us so my plan is to grab BBQ early and everyone can eat in shifts when they’re home.

Friday-We’re gonna grill burgers and chill in the backyard before the weekend gets busy. The weather is supposed to be nice.

What I’m Reminiscing About

Since summer is here and we’re already thinking about our big summer plans, I’ve been thinking back to our last cruise. If you missed it, you can read about our Hawaiian Cruise in this post. We’re cruisin’ again later this summer.

What I’m Loving

Bowen and some of his friends recreated this picture…the bottom pic was the last day of second grade. The top picture is the same boys on the last day of third grade. My how they’ve grown!

What We’ve Been Up To

My parents are avid Game Changer-watchers {which is the app that has the boys’ baseball games}. Every weekend they spend hours staring at their phones watching the boys’ games. So super last minute my mom decided she’d much prefer to watch in person this past weekend. They drove in to spend hours at the ball field, which was super sweet and much appreciated by my boys.

Nixon’s team made it all the way to the championship game and then brought home 1st place! Super great way to kickoff summer!

My favorite way to end a tournament no matter the outcome.

What I’m Dreading

Maybe like every other mom on the planet whose kids are now on SUMMER BREAK I’m not dreading this but working on perfecting our summer schedules. I still have the same amount of work to do but now they have 3,287 camps and places to be. The math isn’t adding up quite yet so we’re working out the kinks.

What I’m Working On

Vacations, vacations, vacations. And laundry. 😉

What I’m Excited About

Some of our FAVORITE people in the world had their twin girls last week and to say we’re a bit excited would be an understatement. We CANNOT WAIT TO GET OUR HANDS ON THEM! Callahan and Berkley better get ready because the Slaughters are READY!

What I’m Watching/Reading

I haven’t started watching this documentary, but I’ve heard it’s good. Have you seen Our Father? Tab and I are adding this to our list. And I hope you’re on high alert. I heard Big Brother returns in July this summer! We’ll be watching!

What I’m Listening To

Kids-lots of kids. 🙂

What I’m Wearing

Lots of skorts…apparently, it’s my summer 2022 uniform.

What I’m Doing This Weekend

All the red, white, and blue fun we can have!

What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month

Next month Nixon’s baseball team is playing in Florida so we’re sneaking away a few days early to have a little beach getaway before a week of baseball. I’m looking forward to the beach with my people. And who am I kidding-I’m looking forward to a kitchen! ha!

Thanks for reading today!

As a Texan, I am shocked you and Andrea didn’t mention the school shooting in Uvalde. If you have a space like this, why would one stay silent? I’m sad you did.

Hi Angie, I can’t speak for Andrea, but I worked on my blog post and had it scheduled to go early on Tuesday morning. I addressed it today because as I was writing my post yesterday it was heavy on my heart. I’d hope we can give each other a little grace these days.

    Thanks for sharing about your
cruise to Hawaii. I am going in
March on the Pride of America also.
    Never seen Hawaii before or
been on a cruise ship longer than
    3 days. Any extra tips?

You will love it! It was such a great way to get to see many islands. We did something fun every day when we got off the ship. When it’s time for you to sign up for excursions, go for it! That itinerary was absolutely amazing! You guys will have a great trip!
