What’s Up Wednesday-4.25.23

What’s Up Wednesday! I’m gonna link up with Sheaffer and Shay to answer a little about what’s going on around here.

What We’re Eating This Week

Monday-Chicken in the air fryer, macaroni and cheese, and salads. We had these delicious mediterranean salads in Santa Barbara and I tried to recreate them for Tab and I. I was close. 😉

Tuesday-Last night salmon bowls-I made the salmon in the air fryer and then had rice, edamame, avocado, carrots, etc. to add.

Wednesday-Tonight we’re having chicken noodle soup. Wednesdays my boys both have practice and the dinners times are all messed up. I try to feed them before practice because they’re not home until 9 so a slow cooker meal it is.

Thursday-I’m joining Tab on another work trip…this time for the NFL. My mom is arriving today to hold down the fort this time. I asked my kids what they’d like her to make so I could get the groceries and they requested her fried chicken and mashed potatoes.

Friday-Dinner will be out! Both at our house at home and on the trip!

What I’m Reminiscing About

These pictures popped up from 2018! This is exactly what living with two boys {should I really count three?} is like on a daily basis.

What IN THE WORLD was Nixon doing climbing on the door?!

What I’m Loving

I shared recently that I started Kelly Minter’s Nehemiah bible study and I’m loving it. One of you recommended the Cultivate podcast by Kelly Minter. Friends, I’m loving it! Each episode is about thirty minutes and Kelly dives into God’s word, ties it back to our daily lives, and shares ways we can cultivate our relationship with Christ. It’s a really great listen!

What We’ve Been Up To

Friday night the Slaughters were under the Friday Night Lights watching Bowen play flag football. Britt had my phone and was showing off her photography skills.

She’s pretty good, right?

We had lots of baseball this weekend and our Sunday night ended around 8:45 p.m. with a 2nd place finish for Bowen’s team. My goodness, I was TIRED!

What I’m Working On

PACKING…this month we’re packing in a bunch of trips in a really small amount of time. ha! We have another work trip, MY 40TH BIRTHDAY TRIP {CELEBRATING EARLY}, and then I have a fun work trip later in a couple weeks.

What I’m Excited About

We got our pantry finished really early and have been finalizing many other spots in our house. I’m getting excited about them getting REALLY close to being finished! Can’t wait to share them with you!

What I’m Watching/Reading

I enjoy having something playing at my desk while I work but I don’t want it to be anything I have to really think about. I just started The Mindy Project and am enjoying it! A cute and easy show that’s a great work background option, if you’re looking for something as well.

I recently started reading, Romantic Comedy. I’m not far enough in the book to really have thoughts yet, but I’ll keep you posted.

What I’m Listening To

Have you listened to the latest episode of The Bestie Breakdown that was released yesterday?! Shay and I have changed up the format a bit this season and are doing smaller more in the moment chats about what’s going on, what’s happening in the entertainment world us, and anything else we think to discuss.

What I’m Wearing

Guys, this outfit is ON REPEAT….I know I’ve shared before but it’s worth another share. I think I’m about to purchase another tee and another pair of loggers. That’s how good they both are!

Tee

THE PERFECT “LOGGER” {LEGGING/JOGGERS}-I seriously almost devoted an entire post to this pair of loggers. I still might because friends, I’m in LOVE. Mine are the “Gradiate Geo High Gloss Black}

Bracelets

Earrings

This was my travel home outfit, but I forgot to share in yesterday’s Santa Barbara post.

Chambray Top {similar}, Wide Leg White Jeans{if you’re in between sizes, I ALWAYS go up in white jeans…I can wear two different sizes and dark jeans I’ll size down but white-never, and Bracelets…it was a great option for my travel outfit UNTIL I spilled coffee on my jeans. #oops

What I’m Doing This Weekend

I’m tagging along on another one of Tab’s work trips. We’ll be enjoying the weekend out of town!

What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!! I love the routine of the school year and everything that comes with it but by May I’m over it and need a break. I’m looking forward to less structure and lots of fun to be had!

Thanks for reading today!

XO

It is!! What network was it even on? I don’t think I’d ever heard about it until Netflix recommended it.

You’ve convinced me to buy the loggers! Can you link your green jacket from yesterday’s post? Unfortunately it kept taking me to the tank instead.

Girl…it’s so good! I cut the salmon up into like one inch chunks, add some olive oil and smoked paprika and then air fry it. It probably books for 30-ish minutes because we like it crispy! I stir it up about halfway through. SO GOOD! And then we added it to bowls last night with random toppings.

Had to share with you, I went to a Lulelemon store on vacation and asked the sales lady if the store had any loggers. She looked at me funny and said, “Are you looking for joggers?”
