What’s Up Wednesday-1.29.25

What’s Up Wednesday! I’m gonna link up with Sheaffer and Shay to answer a little about what’s going on around here.

What We’re Eating This Week

Monday-We had breakfast for dinner. I don’t know why we don’t do that more often?! Scrambled eggs, turkey bacon, sausage and hashbrowns. Everyone approved!

Tuesday-Tab was on duty and they ate something out. I had a meeting/girls’ dinner so Dad was in charge.

Wednesday-Tonight we’re having salmon, sweet potatoes, and green beans. EASY!

Thursday-BBQ Chicken Rice Bowls…bbq chicken, avocado, corn, and any other fixin’s you’d like.

Friday-Tab’s grilling burgers! Because it’s FRIDAY NIGHT!

What I’m Reminiscing About

Awwww…this kid who’s been playing baseball for years has his first high school scrimmage this Saturday. My goodness. They grow up quickly.

What I’m Loving

I’m LOVING this No Other Gods bible study! If you’re in the market for a new study, give this one a try.

What We’ve Been Up To

We kicked off the baseball season with a little inner-squad scrimmage this past weekend.

We’re looking forward to watching this group of boys.

A great start to the season!

We followed our Saturday up with a basketball game. Their stances prior to the jump ball to start the game make me laugh. ha!

Sunday late afternoon/early evening this was my view…everyone at home all comfy cozy watching football. My favorite kind of days. 🙂

What I’m Working On

Mix and Match Travel Agency had a team lunch yesterday to chat about some new, exciting things coming up! Many of you guys probably know Jane who works with me on all of our Disney trips. She even flew into town for the lunch, some work, a meeting, and a little girls’ dinner.

What I’m Excited About

This girl has had her braces for what feels like forever! Tomorrow is the BIG DAY! And I’m so excited for her!

What I’m Reading

The Unmaking of June Farrow is what I’m reading right now. I started it and liked it but I know there’s a bit of magic in this one so it’s a bit slow going. I have a BIG book review coming on Monday that I can’t wait to share! I read some GREAT books this month!

What I’m Watching

Tab and I are about halfway through the first season of Landman. I have ALL the thoughts so far and can’t wait to share them with you!

What I’m Listening To

I’ve been listening to books on Audible. My favorites tend to be memoirs and biographies read by the authors themselves.

What I’m Wearing

I finally took a gamble on some barrel jeans by trying this pair from Amazon. They’re a great “gateway” option with a low price just to see if you’re a fan of this fit. My blazer is from Walmart. I very rarely wear blazers so getting a nicer {more expensive option} just doesn’t make sense for me. These are my shoes.

What I’m Doing This Weekend

This weekend we have a basketball game, a 7 on 7 football tournament, and a baseball scrimmage. If you need me this weekend, I’ll be in sports mom mode watching my people do what they love!

Latest Amazon Purchase

This wearable sleeping bag for cold baseball games. The most stylish? Absolutely not! But will I be warm? YES! You can see all of my other recent Amazon purchases in this post.

What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month

Do you guys remember my heart notes I did last February? I’m ALREADY EXCITED about bringing those back!

Hope you guys have a GREAT Wednesday! Thanks for reading today!

XO

Starting February 1st, I wrote something I LOVED about each kid on a heart and taped it to their bathroom mirrors. This year I’m gonna tape it to their door frame tho!

Last year when you posted about your heart notes, I made a note in my google calendar to do them this year, too! One of my goals for the year is to make the little moments special. I’m so thankful you are always sharing ways to do just that!

Hi Erika. Question. How does the travel agency work. I was confused when you said Jane flew in. You all work for Shay remotely? Who uses her home office that she built with the plaque on it saying Mix and Match Travel then? Thanks!

Jane and I work remotely. I’m close so I could totally pop over but Shay and I would probably start talking and get nothing accomplished! HA! We do periodically have meetings and I know other girls go in much more frequently.

A book that goes great with that bible study is God’s at War by Kyle Idleman.

Is it weird that the Shull family was notified about tomorrow’s braces removal and have been counting down too? Oddly enough TWO of your children told me about it. Bahaha! We are so excited for Ebby Lee!

When I read what you’re eating for Friday & you said because it’s Friday night, I automatically heard the TGIF theme song from the 80’s in my head! 🤣
