Happy Happy Friday!
I hope you’ve had a good week wherever you are. :). I’m coming at you this FRIDAY with some FAVORITES! Of course, as always, I’m teaming up with Andrea to host this little link-up!
My list of FAVORITES this week is really food heavy. I apologize. I must have been hungry when I sit down to compile my list. 🙂

First up, now I don’t know if I’m violating some big rule but I have to share a new FAVORITE Chicken Noodle Soup recipe. It’s from my aunt Rene’ in her church’s cookbook. {I think Aunt Rene’ is okay I’m sharing it.} When we visited Missouri over Christmas Break, she made us this and I came home attempting it myself. I can’t find the exact egg noodles she uses {which were REALLY good} but really any thin/narrow noodle should work. The flu, strep, and any other virus you can imagine have hit North Texas. I really thought one of my kids was getting it this week because they seemed really run down but after a post-school nap, early bed time and Aunt Rene’s Chicken Noodle Soup they were as good as new!

Speaking of Aunt Rene’, she gifted all the ladies in our family this Focus devotional. It focuses on one word each week, by digging in and applying scripture to help transform our hearts and minds throughout the year. I’m enjoying this weekly reading but my FAVORITE thing about it is how the ladies in our group are keeping in touch more by discussing via group text.
Some things we’ve done…
*Gifted my grandparents a year of memories {and in turn they’d text about the memory daily}.
*Book Club where we texted about books monthly.
*Now this weekly devotional book.
Our family is spread out where it’s really hard for us to all get together anytime during the year so staying somewhat connected with this is definitely a FAVORITE!
Have you guys done anything similar? If you have any ideas, please share!!

We LOVE Disney World vacations at Mix and Match Travel Agency! They’re always a FAVORITE! We’ve decided to start a newsletter where we share just Disney specific news, deals, promotions, and fun tidbits. If you’re thinking about visiting Disney World in the upcoming years, already have a trip booked and wanna see more, or if you’re just a Disney lover too, sign up for the newsletter!

I’m not sure if I’ve hit a new low or a new high but my next FAVORITE…

is Good Culture Low-Fat Cottage Cheese! Have you tried this? Do you like cottage cheese? I like cottage cheese and add it in as many things as I can for a little extra protein {scrambled eggs, pasta dishes, etc.}. But this is THE GOAT of all cottage cheese!
Hold on…please pause. I’m dying laughing that I just typed that because if my three oldest kids read that sentence they would die of embarrassment.

Let’s continue…yes, the cottage cheese is a FAVORITE! I typically shop at Walmart and my local grocery store with the delivery services but neither of those carry this exact brand. I found it here in North Texas at HEB. If you spot it out, TRY IT!

I have a REALLY easy recipe idea for you! Dare I say a new FAVORITE?!
Parmesan Garlic Chicken
*Added six chicken breasts {but as much or little chicken as you need}
*One bottle of Parmesan Garlic Sauce {when empty, added some water, shook it up and got any remaining out of the bottle as well}
Dump those two things in your slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
Voila!! Yummy chicken that you can eat any way your family prefers! Add some other items and serve in a bowl over rice, serve it with pasta, or serve with veggies on the side. I have to be careful to keep new flavors in the slow cooker or everything can start to taste the same. This was really delish though and my people loved it!

Hope you guys have the best weekend! See you Monday!
XO
In our family text- every so often we like to send a text and say stop what you are doing and take a photo of your view right now. It’s really fun to get a picture from each person in the family and what they are looking at right at that moment. We love doing that.
LOVE THIS!!! I’m gonna do it today and see who participates!
I have that same cottage cheese too, and it’s the best! You have me intrigued about the Chicken Noodle soup recipe! Sounds delicious! And so does the Parmesan Garlic Chicken. I’m always looking for a new, easy recipe! Have a great weekend!
Hi Alison! You should try the soup! EASY! I did it my slow cooker this week and used the protein noodles.
Love the idea of a family devotional! Have a great weekend!

Have a great weekend!
One thing my family has done over the last few years is play fantasy football together. We live all over the country but this has been a fun way to connect. I find myself texting my brother or sister in law the week we play each other and it’s just creates space for other conversations too! I didn’t know much about football before we started but have learned a lot and connected with my family more. Win!
I love this! Thank you so much for sharing! We should totally do it!
That Chicken noodle soup sounds so good, perfect for this time of year!
I have been eating a lot of cottage cheese this week. I love the stuff.
It is so good!
Well here I am on a Friday morning, I’ve got the whole weekend ahead of me, and I’m trying to figure out when I can swing by HEB to grab me some cottage cheese.
I’m telling you-get it on the calender!
I love chicken noodle soup, I do not love cottage cheese.
You are missing out!
