Happy Wednesday!
I’m back with Part 2 of our Tuscany trip! I recapped Part 1 on Monday, if you missed it.
Let’s dig right into Part 2…

On Wednesday, Tab and I joined a group who were visiting two Tuscan villages with a tour guide sharing all the info. Our first stop was Monteriggioni, which is a small medieval walled town located near Siena.

Our guide gave us all these ear pieces, gave us about a 15 minute tour and then set us free to walk on our own for a bit.

Inside the little church…

This little village was HOT but guess who found a cute hat in a shop? This girl! Our second stop of the day was San Gimignano, which is another medieval fortified town but this one was a lot bigger.

Amazing views were all around.

Once again, our guide gave us a quick little tour of the village and then set us free to explore on our own for a bit.

This little shop had a replica of what the town looked like from above.

We made our way ALL the way to the top for a quick pic.

All kids are the same, right? No matter if you’re in McKinney, Texas, or San Gimignano all kids need a space to play sports! ha! This made me laugh…right in the middle of this medieval village.

We had the cutest little lunch set up for us with the most delicious truffle tortellini. These two ladies are super sweet and I was so glad to get to catch up with them on the trip!
Typically, there’s an awards ceremony where the dress is cocktail and suits for guys but on this trip the dress was “medieval chic”. I wasn’t sure what to expect or if people would really dress up but this crew got into the theme! We had our awards dinner at the most gorgeous castle. That evening we all got dressed up and bussed over to dinner…

Thanks to Amazon, we packed some medieval chic outfits and were ready! {Tab had some faux leather things to wear that we just forgot at home so he was a bit more “medieval peasant”. ha!}

When we approached the castle, there were three trumpet players {also in costume} who announced our arrival. Super cool!

Views of the arrival…

We kicked off the night with a little cocktail hour where they served appetizers and drinks. We had some fun entertainment while we mingled.

But let’s talk about THE TABLES!! They were GORGEOUS!! This was all fresh, ready to eat food that made up the decor. I mean STUNNING!

Isn’t that pretty??

Our set up for the evening was incredible!

Can you tell I couldn’t get over how gorgeous it looked?

We should have taken a group picture because the group showed up looking great!

The castle entertainment sang, danced and entertained us while we dined.

When we sat down, I thought to myself…if they need a volunteer there’s no way I’ll get chosen WAY over on this side of the room. {What does it say about me that this thought even crossed my mind? ha!} These three court jesters came out doing some tricks, said they needed a helper, and one of them pointed straight at me! Do you remember my experience with the Vikings? haha!

Two seconds later this was me…helping them juggle. The whole premise of the “act” was I was supposed to catch ALL the balls he was juggling in this little basket. Spoiler alert they were thrown quickly and I think I only caught one but they all stood in front of me while I scooped them off the ground. TA-DA!

The most GORGEOUS of settings!

What an incredible day in Tuscany!
