Tuscany-Part 1

Ciao!

Last week Tab and I were in TUSCANY!! You guys ON the flight over to Florence my I-Phone camera went kaput! WAAAAHHH!! I attempted to take pics from Tab’s phone, share to mine, and then post but it just took way too long. I was enjoying the moments! Needless to say, I will be off to get a new phone today!

Here’s a little part one of our Tuscany trip…

We flew from Dallas to Rome. Then hopped on a quick flight from Rome to Florence and then a driver from Florence to Tuscany. We stayed in a really cool old monastery turned nice resort and arrived just in time for a lunch in the old wine cellar restaurant before a little nap.

This trip was another work trip for Tab and I’m so thankful I get to tag along on these. {Remember Iceland and Portugal? Same trips!}. Every evening we had some fun dinner or special event planned and most were on cobblestones so flats were suggested each evening. I grabbed this light and flowy dress with POCKETS straight from Amazon right before we left. I’m in the small and I definitely could have worn an XS so if you want it more fitted, size down. I also grabbed this clutch and used it all week.

Our welcome event for the trip was out at this cute little garden area. This trip has around five or six hosts and they do such a good job with assigned seating that we get to sit with every host by the end of the trip. The table settings were GORGEOUS! Someone else snapped this with Tab and I in the background.

It was a GORGEOUS night with the most perfect weather and amazing views of the Tuscan countryside.

This Italian trio was so much fun and kept us jet-lagged Texans awake and laughing.

Day two we awoke to the most beautiful weather. Prior to the trip, we were given several activities to choose from and we chose an e-bike adventure around the gorgeous countryside….

First of all, let me tell you that I realized I ride an e-bike kind of like I ski. I would get REALLY stressed when the group got congested and we were all close to each other. I didn’t like the loose rocks or gravel and any cliffs or big drops really bothered me. This guy was living his best life {which is also how he skis..ha!}.

Our e-biking group for the morning! What a CREW!

We got to see the most beautiful views {when I was able to look up-ha!}.

These are my sunglasses {pro tip-I saved up my Nordy points and treated myself a few years ago} and my shorts are these.

We rode for about an hour and half before taking a little snack break in this cute village.

Absolutely stunning…

These Italian cypress trees were the best views.

We had time that afternoon to enjoy the pool. This was our little walk from the pool to our room.

Our event that evening began with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at the Piazza del Campo in Siena. This is the exact spot where Siena hosts a horse race twice a year. The horses run all around those pillars you see in the middle. This is my dress…it comes in other colors and the straps are adjustable.

A little panoramic view of the area. 🙂

For dinner everyone was split into six groups and each group of about ten went to a different restaurant for dinner. Ours served the most delicious ravioli.

And afterwards {the restaurant got warm quickly} we enjoyed a post-dinner drink outside in the breeze.

It was a beautiful ending to a really full day.

I’ll be back on Wednesday with more pics! Hope you guys have a great day!

XO
