Hey There!
Guys, just like that it’s ALMOST March, spring sports have begun and well, Spring Break is literally just days away! How does January always last 47 days and February is only 12?!
I don’t know about you but swimsuit shopping has never been my favorite sport. I’m always on the hunt for a new place to shop and am always looking for suggestions. This year we’re headed to a sunny destination during Spring Break so I did my swimsuit shopping early. And we’re all girlfriends here, right? So I’m doing exactly what I’d do if we were chatting on the phone. I’m sharing where I shopped and what worked for me in hopes it helps you too. :). I’ve got my top three spots I found swimsuits with some honorable mentions thrown in for good measure.
In no particular order….
#1 Boden-I found swimsuits a year or so ago at Boden and so glad I did. They have adorable one pieces, lots of two pieces as well. What I love about Boden’s suits are they are trendy but are very on target for what a woman my age should be wearing when it comes to swimwear. Most of their bottoms are full coverage and well…maybe they should be targeting themselves as THE swimwear for thirty-nine-year-old moms. Everything’s covered well but still on trend when it comes to style. Seriously, check them out!
#2 La Blanca-This one is a brand that’s sold at a variety of department stores. I shopped at Nordstrom because free returns but you can find this brand at a variety of places. La Blanca has very fun, bright summer colors but again-has full coverage on most suits. They have the very best bottoms {in my opinion}…when I found these bottoms a few years ago, I’ve basically tried to add a new color to my line up each summer since.
#3 JCrew-Who does timeless style swimwear better than JCrew? I’m not sure anyone does. They stole my heart when I found their long torso one pieces years ago. From XXS to 3X, JCrew does an outstanding job fitting each and every body type and they do it well.
Honorable mentions….Summersalt-I’m not sure I have any suits that are better quality than these suits. This is a new-to-me swim spot but Show Me Your Mumu had a couple suits I thought were REALLY cute. {This is the one that I kept.}. This brand at Target is priced so well and typically is a little more “mom friendly”, than others.
I realize this post would be more helpful if there were pictures, but I’d be way too embarrassed and I have middle schoolers-they would die. hahahaha! #truth
Okay, now it’s your turn to help us out. Where’s YOUR favorite place to buy YOUR swimsuits?
XO
I’m definitely going to check out some of these places for swimsuits this year! Thanks for sharing!

I always think Boden suits are SO CUTE, but I don’t think I’ve ever ordered one?!? I’m going to fix that. I have several J Crew and several Target suits and love them!
I think I’ve purchased every swimsuit Nordstrom is selling right now. Ha! I do love Athleta’s swimsuits though too!
I got a really nice suit a couple years ago from Calia. It’s Carrie Underwood’s line. I got a one piece but last I checked there was a good variety. It has held its shape really well!
Where do you buy those? Dick’s Sporting goods?
As the mom of 2
boys do you have any rec’s for non chafing boys swim trunks?? We live in swimwear and this is always an issue
It’s ALWAYS an issue for my boys at the beach. We haven’t found the magical suit that prevents it, but we usually pack stuff to treat it on each trip.
I am 5’10, 165ish, have an athletic build, 34DD bra and 99% of my suits are Athleta. I struggle to find things appropriate for our lake cabin (with family, friends and little around) and these are perfect. They are so well made, have normal sizing and bra cup sizing for tops and I have literally never had any issues with their suits. I mix and match tops & bottoms and have had some suits going on 8 years and they’re still great. Highly recommend! The 1% not from Athleta are SummerSalt and I love that too! It’s a one shoulder, and has great coverage, looks cute and girly and very well made!
I used to get mine from Athleta but I took a little pause. Sounds like it’s time to go back! Thank you!
Lands End always has swimsuits with great coverage. They also have great customer service!
Thanks, Carla!
You have done the Lord’s work today. I have lost a bit of weight and will definitely come back to this post before my cruise to Mexico in June!
Laura, this made me LAUGH!!! HAHAHA!! Good for you!!
