Hey Hey Hey! {See what I did with the title?! I’ve got four random thoughts for you today.}
My plan on my “blog calendar” was to share some things I’d gotten for my own kids for Christmas with pics and such {in case any of you are needing some last minute ideas} BUT nothing gets me more unorganized then when I have a room full of boxes of Christmas gifts all stacked up. So, I opened all the boxes yesterday evening {Tab was out of town and sent kids to other rooms} and wrapped EVERYTHING. I didn’t take a single pic for you SO I’m scrapping that post. Instead you’re gonna get a big ole dose of what’s going on in my mama/Santa/Holiday Fun Planner head. 😉

#1 Do you guys remember when I mentioned I’d accidentally over ordered on the Rao’s pasta sauces in my grocery order? Let’s dive into this a bit. I know that Rao’s is supposed to be the more “healthier” option when it comes to jarred sauces. Less sugar and that kind of thing. I’m a jarred pasta sauce kind of girl so I typically choose that brand. Not too long ago I came across something on social media that said Rao’s had been bought by another company and odds are the ingredients won’t stay as healthy. Now who wrote that? I have no idea! Did I even pay attention to where it came from? NO! Should I have? Absolutely! But I was the most gullible person ever because I didn’t pay attention to the important stuff but instead just remembered “I better buy some Rao’s before the ingredients change”. {Again, is this true? I have NO IDEA!}. After that I placed my first Thrive Market order {not realizing I was agreeing to an auto-ship situation} and added practically ever single flavor of Rao’s sauce they had available to my order. Then I placed a local grocery store order a few days later and apparently blocked out the fact that I’d just ordered approximately ten jars of Rao’s sauce by ordering another ten jars of Rao’s sauce. At one point I had around 20 jars of Rao’s sauce…yes, yes, I did! And then remember that Thrive order was set to auto ship so ANOTHER TEN JARS ARRIVED just a few weeks later. Needless to say, I counted the number of Rao’s in my pantry yesterday and the fact that I only had 18 jars made me feel really good. We’ve been eating some pasta sauce, friends. Speaking of pasta sauce, what’s your FAVORITE way to eat that? I’d love a new idea or two to wipe out a few more jars. And in case you’re wondering, out of ALL the Rao’s pasta sauce flavors the Arrabbiata is my favorite. Save yourself the taste test and trust me. 😉

#2 Amidst the Christmas presents I’ve been ordering, I completely forgot I’d ordered this oversized pink vest for me. It arrived yesterday and put a smile on my face. I had a few errands, Bible study, school carpools, and work. This look was perfect for December crazy when you wanna be comfortable!
#3 Thankful for Delivery! As Christmas gifts have been arriving over the last couple days it’s made me think HOW DID OUR PARENTS DO ALL THE DECEMBER THINGS PLUS PHYSICALLY GO INTO STORES TO CHRISTMAS SHOP?! Seriously, HOW did they do that?! Did they spend their entire weekends off of work going into stores to shop? Mom, please weigh in on this! I know our parents were super heroes but their capes must have been flying in December! Realistically, I think I’ve purchased a few gifts at one store in person. Everything else has been ordered online. What about you?!
#4 Remember this for next year…I’ve been saving up my Nordstrom notes all year and in November I splurged on a Charlotte Tilbury Advent Calendar for MYSELF! It has twelve little gifts and let me just tell you…I’m giddy! Not only is the Advent Calendar gorgeous but so far I’ve opened lip gloss and the Magic Serum. Two REALLY great ways to kickoff the twelve days of Christmas. And if you read my post yesterday I’m extra thankful Tab hasn’t busted into my calendar. ;). I’ll remind you next year!
Okay, friends! It’s short and sweet and we’ve got eleven days until Christmas! See you back here tomorrow for some FAVES!
XO

My Mom would do all of the shopping in one day. She would cash in savings bonds from my Dad’s job and go to the outlet mall!
And she probably took some vacation days to get it done!
I love the arriabiatta sauce mixed with shrimp and diced onion. It’s like an easy “Shrimp fra diavolo”!
Oooh!! That sounds fancy! My people will think I’ve been working all day on that!
Online shopping makes everything so much easier around the holidays. Have a great day!

HOW did they even do it before?
so I was seeing all of Instagram people taking a jar of their favorite red sauce and mixing a jar of their favorite Alfredo sauce together. it makes the sauce a pink color. I decided to try it and threw my favorites together in a crackpot with my favorite frozen meatballs on low for most of the day. Then I made Cavalli pasta since it’s hardy type of pasta noodle. I was skeptical but it was absolutely delicious. My family devoted it and are already asking for it again. I don’t know if I will ever go back to just red sauce alone. Give it a try..I think you will love it
Oh Amy!! I’m adding it to the dinner menu next week. THANK YOU!! I have BOTH red and alfredo sauce in my pantry!
I think you know that my mom still shops like it’s 1994.
BAHAHAHAHA! She’s so good at it! WHY stop?!
Pasta Fagioli use the recipe on the Skinner pasta website, any type of meat, any type of beans works and the Arrabiata sauce, can even crockpot it!
Oh KIM! THANK YOU!!
That Rao’s story is hysterical! But I’m just wondering why you haven’t had me over for spaghetti!?!
GOOD question…why have I not had the entire city over for a spaghetti dinner is the real question. 😉
