THE Big Sale!

Hey There!

WHEW! What a few weeks we’ve had! It’s been a summer of fun so far and this week it’s continuing. Nixon’s baseball team is playing in a World Series in Vail, Colorado, this week so we arrived yesterday in Vail to kickoff another FUN week of summer.

Today the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale kicks off for Icon card holders! I didn’t want to miss out on sharing my first round draft picks so to speak from the sale. I’m sure I’ll find a few other items I want to try out but for now here are my first rounders….

Farm Rio Dress-Last year I scored a Farm Rio dress in this sale and was SO GLAD I had that in my closet. I took it on several trips and wore it to a couple date nights. It’s always nice when you have something come up that needs a certain outfit and you have that just waiting for you in your closet. This dress looks like it can be worn all year long {or pretty much in Texas} by just changing up the shoe wear!

New Balance Sneakers-Remember how I’ve declared my love for a tennis skirt? Well what pairs better with that look than a cute neutral sneaker. I’ve had my eye on this style for a while and am so happy to see it at this price point.

Multichain Necklace-Yes, yes, yes! The perfect gift for any woman in your life or for you! I love adding new versatile jewelry items during this sale.

Running Shoes-I literally left my current pair of workout/running shoes in the garbage on Nantucket. I need a new pair of running shoes in my life and actually saw a friend wearing this pair yesterday. When I asked about the shoes, she gushed and gushed. She works in many OR’s and told me they’re THE most comfortable shoe she’s worn to surgery. I was SOLD!

Blazer-Blazers are ALL the rage this season and while there are some cute fall colored options, Texas doesn’t give me the best weather for getting all layered up in the fall. This blazer screams more “winter” and I’m here for that.

Running Shorts-How CUTE are these shorts?!

Western Boots-I’m a sucker for a western boot and this pair with the two-tone leather is adorable. The hardest part for me was deciding which color combination to go with.

Hooded Vest-The athletic wear in this sale never lets me down. I love a vest to pair over workout clothes or when I’m headed out for errands.

White Boots-I already have a pair of white boots but I included this pair for you! If you’ve been considering a white pair of boots, these are a great price point!

Full Zip Jacket-Athleisure jacket? YES, yes, yes!

The items above are all the ones that stood out to me that are something I’m gonna try to snag for myself {other than those white boots, you need to snag for you}. But this list is full of items I already own and love…

Leggings-I own these in several colors. They’ve all come from the Nordstrom sale over the years and they still all look like new!

Blanket-Through the years I’ve bought a few of these for different seasons. Right this second our burnt orange throw for fall is folded up in our living room basket. {It’s a bit too soon but it looks so cute with fall decor out.}. Also at this price point they’re great for gifting!

Lounge Set-I bought a similar set last year during the sale. My shirt has a rounded neck instead of v-neck but everything else is the same. In the winter, I LOVED this set!

Ugg Slippers-A great item to purchase for gifts and one of my favorite things to wear around the house. Over the years, I’ve had several different styles. If a small heel isn’t your jam, this flat pair is another Ugg option.

Sweatshirt-I bought this exact sweatshirt in a lime green last year and still wear it!

Faux Leather Leggings-Have had these for years! I recommend sizing up!

Almond Shower Oil-A girlfriend gifted me this shower oil years ago and I still love it! This would make a perfect gift or a special treat for you. {FYI-I spent approximately 25 minutes trying to get this to download correctly and it’s the wifi here on the mountain. I have no one else to blame and it’s gotten LATE so we’re gonna pretend like it’s good. Can we? haha!}

Capri Blue Volcano Candle-Who doesn’t love this scent? And I’m loving the neutral color jar!

In the Wild Throw Blanket-It’s hard to beat the coziness of a Barefoot Dreams throw. This is THE TIME to snag one!

Curling Iron-My graphic started messing up so this curling iron isn’t pictured but on a trip this year I left this at our hotel. Was super sad because I LOVED this curling iron! But am so happy to see it in the sale this year! It’s the best curling iron for not damaging your hair!
