Tab’s Big Day

Guess who has a birthday TODAY?! My favorite guy is celebrating a birthday and I thought it was only fair I gave him a little extra love right here in this blog space. {We did just celebrate 18 years of marriage but it happened on a non-blog day so I completely skipped it. A belated post about marriage is coming soon!}

This guy works so hard all year long but August might be the craziest. Today he’s officiating a football practice and then has THREE flights before finally arriving at his final destination where he’ll be reffing a preseason game this weekend. And he’s doing all that on his birthday. Needless to say his travel schedule this month is INSANE!

He’s the parent always pushing us all to get outside our comfort zones. Thanks to him all four Slaughter kids enjoy roller coasters. If it were up to me, I’d have never made them get on a ride and what kind of Disney World travel agent would I be if my kids didn’t ride the rides? They ride them ALL thanks to Tab. 😉

He’s always down for the fun. And in a world where there’s so much serious stuff happening, can’t we all use a little more fun?

He leads our family so very well. He pushes us to be better, work harder, and give it all we’ve got. We only wish we were with him getting to celebrate him BIG in person today!
