Friday Favorites-8.11.23

Happy Friday! We’re officially three days into the new school year and I think I’ve set records on the amount of coffee I’ve had to drink in those three days. 🙂

Andrea and I are sharing some FRIDAY FAVORITES! My faves are all FAVORITES from my week so you’re getting a big peek at what’s been up in the Slaughter House…

First up, this crew of boys started playing golf this summer! Who knew it’d be a FAVORITE? But Nixon loved it! One day in particular they played 18 holes at one course and then went to a different course to play 18 more.

Ebby Lee and I got to experience Bronco Camp {the freshman intro to high school that happens right before school starts}. She experienced it cheering on the mats in the middle of the action while I had a seat in the bleachers. This event was a tad overwhelming but I walked out of their thinking that she’s about to experience some of her FAVORITE years!

Our elementary school had Meet the Teacher on Monday evening so before hand Britty met up with some of her FAVORITE classmates to take a quick pic. One day us moms will look back at this comparing each and every year.

And then she got to meet her first grade teacher! She’s one of our FAVORITE people so this should be an extra special year.

First Day of School pics and I failed the older two! Nixon wasn’t ready when I was taking the littles. Ebby Lee had to leave when it was still dark out so her picture is super dark. Needless to say…they all four had a great first day! And this pic of Bowen heading out to fifth grade might be my new FAVORITE. 😉

Bowen made a beeline for his classroom but this cutie let me walk her to class. We’re looking forward to a great year!

I was feeling like I was on my “A” game with all the laundry, great lunches, a pantry full of snacks, etc. but I don’t want you to think I had it all figured out. Thursday evenings are going to be our WILD and CRAZY nights because every kid will have something once we’re in the swing of all the things. I thought 3/4 of the kids had something last night and I actually got to one practice before I realized I was a week too early. In reality ONLY ONE KID had practice! There went my “A” game. hahaha!

I’m off to get some work done before I have a fun lunch with some friends to celebrate three days down! Have a great weekend!
