Stranded-Christmas Movies

Hi Ladies!

It’s Wednesday and our last STRANDED of the year!  Can you believe it?  Once a month, Shay and I have been STRANDED on an island (usually a mildy warm island WITH electricity and hopefully some sort of room service) and we’ve shared THREE THINGS we’d bring each month.

Today, we’re talking Christmas Movies and we’re sharing which three we’d be sure to pack.

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation is by far my favorite.  It would be the first one I throw in my suitcase.  When Tab and I got married I had NO clue that his family was so passionate about the movie.  I’m talking quoting lines all year long to each other, watching it numerous times during the holiday season, and gifting something Cousin Eddie would appreciate.  I’m fairly certain I hadn’t watched the entire movie through before marrying Tab, but rest assured he quickly changed that.  🙂  Now it’s a favorite.

Home Alone

This movie is just goodness.  I have all the heart eyes for the street the McCallisters live on.  Isn’t it just the cutest?  This movie no matter on an island or watching from my couch is sure to put me in the Christmas spirit.

White Christmas

White Christmas has become a fast favorite around our house.  The music and the dancing…even my boys are big fans.  (They’d probably never admit it!)  We just started watching this one a year or two ago.  I’m so glad we did.  We’ve already had a Christmas movie night and this was our movie of choice.

I’d have to say this guy…
will always be my honorable mention.  🙂

What about you?  What are your favorite Christmas movies?  Please join the link-up by grabbing our graphic, linking up to us, and adding your blog to the link-up!

Shay and I have had so much fun getting together once a month we want to continue the fun.  In 2018, we’ll be WORKIN’ IT!  We’d love to hear how you girls WORK IT as well.  Please join us!

I hope you’ll join us for the first post on January 11th!
Happy Christmas Movie-Watching, Girls!  XOXO

This was so much fun this year but I have to tell you ladies, I LOVE your idea for next year's link up. Going to be so inspirational to see how other ladies across the country keep it all together. Thanks so much! Looking forward to it 🙂

Is it wrong to say that I feel a sense of pride that your family now watches musicals? I kind of feel responsible for that ;)! Next, you need to watch Seven Brides for Seven Brothers! Seriously! Watch it this weekend!! (And PS: I wouldn't want to be stranded on a deserted island with anyone else…okay, maybe Lori…but you're a close second! 😉 )!

I've never seen White Christmas. I guess I need to rectify that asap! Ohhh, and I would have to include Love Actually – not family friendly AT ALL but I just love it. And Hugh Grant, let's be honest. Excited for your topics next year! Maybe I need to dust off my old blog. 😉

I just watched White Christmas for the first time last year. Not sure how that happened because it's one of my mom's favorites. Unpopular opinion alert: I don't like the Grinch. He freaks me out. Ha!

We named my daughter Vera because I always thought the actress, Vera Ellen, in White Christmas was so beautiful. It's one of my very favorites and my daughter and I enjoyed watching it together yesterday!!!
