Hi Ladies!

It’s been a while since I’ve shared some books.  You know why?

Because I’ve been averaging one book a month!  And that’s how I’m feeling about it.

Chick-Lit readers this one is for YOU!  Cancel the Wedding is a great read and it’s not one of those crazy super predictable books where you just know what’s going to happen.  Highly recommend it!

I have super mixed feelings about this one.  It took me about halfway through to really get into the story, but once I was there I wanted to finish ASAP.  I knew so many of you loved it that I kept reading.  This writing style was different than my usual choices, so it was great to change it up.

This is such a quick read and it’s oh so good this time of year.  It’s the perfect book to remind us about God’s love.  I’d recommend this one to all of us this Christmas!

I LOVED this one!  Eligible is a modern take on Pride and Prejudice.  One of the characters was on a dating show, similar to the Bachelor called “Eligible”.  Super cute read with a family of four sisters there’s bound to be lots of drama.  Right?

The reason I haven’t been doing much reading lately is…
One Tree Hill!

Someone told me to watch on Netflix and I listened!  It’s such a good show!  I’m hooked, but there are approximately four thousand episodes.  Or at least that’s how it feels!  🙂  I’m happy to report I have one and a half seasons to go.

Fuller House-Season 2

Has anyone watched this?  I’ve watched a few episodes.  I was hoping it’d be a bit more kid-friendly than Season 1, but I don’t think that’s the case.  If you’ve seen it, let me know if you agree.

After football season every year, Tab and I like to start a new show.  Do you guys have any recommendations?  We’ve heard good things about Game of Thrones?  I’d love your suggestions.

The Hating Game is on my night stand now.  I’ll keep you posted.  🙂

Happy Tuesday!  XO

Sorry I just wanted to tell you I hate game of thrones!! I enjoyed the storyline but one scene was so graphic and disturbing that I stopped watching for good.

I recently read Eligible and lived it as well. I haven't heard of Cancel the Wedding. But I love chic lit so I'll be checking it out. I've watched the first three episodes of Fuller House and so far I would say it's very similar to season one. Happy reading!

Yes, Game of Thrones is VERY graphic in ALL the ways, buuuuut so good! It's like a medieval fantasy. We love it.

Yes to Game of Thrones! It's confusing at first and I googled the episodes after I watched them in the beginning. But oh my you get so addicted! We love it! Homeland is another great one. Have heard good things about West World.

I almost got that Max Lucado book at Sam's yesterday. Now I wish I had!

I don't think Fuller House is kid-friendly AT ALL. I didn't even stick with the first season.

I LOVED Fuller House. I let my 7 year old watch it, didn't think it was too inappropriate at all but then again, I tend to be a smidge more lenient on what I let my kids watch. Game of Thrones is EVERYTHING. It is one of the only shows my husband and I can sit and enjoy together (Archer, Timeless, and Designated Survivor being the others). It is VERY tough to watch if you get offended easily. There is a lot of nudity, gore, and sexual situations. I look past all of that and focus on the storyline which hooked me in immediately. My husband has read the books and says they are, obviously, so much better but I just prefer to watch it because the books would take me FOREVER to read.

Also, I really like When Calls the Heart and can watch it with my daughter.

Fuller House isn't super kid friendly but I've watched a few episodes of Full House and thought "oh wow, that went right over my head when I was younger." But I would say the "lessons" are for older kids.

One Tree Hill was the best decision you could have made!

My husband watches Game of Thrones (and tried to get me to join in) but it is SO graphic and SO scary (but I'm also a baby). We loved to watch White Collar and he loves Suits- it's next on my list!

Game of Thrones is good, but very graphic (violence and nudity), so if that is not your thing I wouldn't recommend it. Have you watched Stranger Things? I recommend that over Game of Thrones. Also Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is funny and a musical show, which is different.

Great recs! Thank you! I have two book recs I think you and Shay would love – The Choices We Make and Come Away With Me, both by Karma Brown. One deals with infertility and the other with the loss of a baby. They are great books and ones that stay with you long after you finish reading them. 🙂 Happy Reading!

We just finished broadchurch and it was really good. It's British though so subtitles were needed to understand everything. 🙂 Also parenthood is the best. Both are pretty wholesome which is important to me when picking a show.

Game of Thrones is a fantastic show! It does have a lot of nudity, graphic scenes but the acting, is pretty great. I'm sad this upcoming season will be the final one. I also like Outlander. I wish I had read the books, but it's a really good show that both of you would enjoy! I loved One Tree Hill when it was on and was a big Peyton + Lucas fan.
I just read Christmas Town which was a sweet fiction story. I loved the Hating Game, enjoy!
