Paint Colors

Hi There, Friends!

I can’t wait to share all this information again with pictures of each and every room, but when I talked about paint colors a while back I got lots of questions from all of you. Many of you are in the same boat undergoing a home renovation or simply getting a little room face lift with some new paint. Instead of waiting until the end of this home renovation with perfect pics, I decided to share our paint colors now. Just in case you’re deciding on the PERFECT color maybe this post will help. 🙂

This time around in the main areas of our house I wanted a warm white. Something very bright, light and airy but a color that would lean more warm than a cool color.

Main Areas:

Sherwin Williams Shoji White

Kitchen Cabinets and Trim Throughout the Entire House:

Sherwin Williams Alabaster

We did something a little “extra” in the pantry and are painting our cabinets, Salty Dog.

Yes, I’m super excited about the fun we have planned for the pantry. 🙂

Honest Blue is the new color of the pantry ceiling.

We painted the laundry room cabinets, Revere Pewter, and a couple walls in Bowen’s room as well.

Balanced Beige is the new color of our master bedroom. I wanted something a little warmer and love how that space turned out.

When it came to the kids’ rooms, I really let them take the reins on the colors. Bowen wanted a color that would go good with his Chiefs’ gear as well as his Oklahoma State decor so we landed on Peppery. We only painted one wall. It comes across as the perfect orangey-red and I think will look good with all his sports’ memorabilia.

Britt’s bathroom and ceiling in her bedroom were painted, Magical. It’s the perfect color for a six-year-old girl. She loves it and I do too!

Functional Gray is looking a little green on my screen but it’s a very light to medium grey that Nixon chose for his room.

The boy’s bathroom cabinets got painted, Naval. {This color was in Bowen’s room so we were familiar with it.}

We used both Sherwin Williams’ colors and Benjamin Moore and our painters just color matched.

We have some really fun wallpaper going in {hopefully} soon and I cannot wait to show you the latest updates! Have you painted lately? If so, I’d love to hear what colors you chose!

Have a great Thursday!

XO

Hi! No, we painted 3 of her walls the Shoji White and then she chose a bright, fun wallpaper for one wall in her room.

Love, Love all your colors you choose! We used BM Revere Pewter for our family room, foyer and hallways in our current house and in our previous house. I love that color so much. We also used a navy like you did, but for our dining room called Hale Navy by BM. Can’t wait to see your house all finished! It’s going to be beautiful.
