Orlando Recap & A New One

Hey Hey! Ebby Lee and I are back in McKinney, Texas, and I’m exhausted. ha! From Friday to Sunday afternoon her team played intermittently and anytime she had off we did our best to enjoy being out of town. I’ve never seen so many courts with so many girls-164 to be exact! YIKES! I needed ear plugs more than you can even imagine!

After a full morning of games, she showered and we went over to Disney Springs for a little shopping and a team dinner.

It was extra fun having my mom join us! She flew from Missouri, we met up, and had lots of girl time over the weekend. You guys know I’m often times holding down the fort at home with all the kids so Tab was eager to fly solo over the weekend. We also have an amazing village that helped him out over the weekend.

Table for 32 please…Team Dinner with some gorgeous views.

This is a super sweet set of girls. Always fun to see them get closer during an out of town event.

Matching bags! ha! I’d seen these fanny pack/cross body bags all over and didn’t think I needed one until a friend had one at baseball. She was gushing about how much she enjoyed hers so I ordered one on the spot with this trip in mind. It was PERFECT! I showed up and spotted a friend with a super similar one.

Meanwhile, I got texts like this from friends…Bowen at the plate.

By the time we got into our room on Saturday evening, Nixon’s game was just beginning. I’m so thankful for technology! We were able to watch from our room. Super cool!

Sunday we checked into Animal Kingdom Lodge, a Disney resort, for a quick little Disney visit. We didn’t know exactly when she’d play on Sunday and turns out they got the worst draw-Sunday afternoon. Womp! Womp! But we made the most by checking in early, dropping off our bags, and scoping out the place before we even went to volleyball.

Animal Kingdom lodge is a gorgeous property.

The property has great pools, animals on site {always a plus}, great dining, and nice rooms.

When volleyball ended, we headed straight to Magic Kingdom!

Splash Mountain was first on the list!

We hit the park from 4:30-10:30 p.m. and at that point I was done! My phone had watched two baseball games, used Genie+ for six hours, checked out all the things on the app, and was about to die. And my legs were feeling way worse than my phone battery was looking. 🙂 We were sure to get Dole Whips though before calling it a DAY!

The PERFECT way to end a FUN day!

My goodness-no matter how many times I see it-that castle is stunning! Remember that if you’d like to visit Walt Disney World and would like some assistance, please let us help you! You can get more information right here!

One more thing before I get to work-Shay and I have a NEW episode up today! The Besties are breaking down POTTY TRAINING! Yes, I know. I know. We both are definitely not experts when it comes to recommending what we did with our kiddos, but I hope you’re encouraged, you laugh a little {because we now know this too shall pass}, and if you have a child with some night time issues, please know I want to give you a big hug and tell you how much I understand. My mama heart FEELS for you and for your child! You should listen to hear my story and know you are not alone! You can find our latest episode as well as all the others over on Anchor or your favorite podcast platform.

Okay, I’m off to finish my last two loads of laundry and work on Mix and Match Travel vacations! Hope you have the best Tuesday!

XO

What league does Ebby Lee play for that allows her to travel for volleyball?

It’s not a league-it’s club volleyball. There are tournaments all over…many, many local but her team decided to travel to one out of state tournament and this was it.

No, but they haven’t been on the same team for several years?! Maybe 2 or 3? So, nothing new with that.
