Let’s Look-Your Bedside Table

Everyone in my house went back to life, back to reality yesterday.  We were all on that first day back high you often get and were running on adrenaline when we got up three hours before our vacation alarm had been going off.  Today and definitely tomorrow that same adrenaline won’t be kicking in the same way it did yesterday.  This transition into the real world is gonna hit us hard!

But that’s okay, because I have something FUN for us all today!

It’s HERE!  The first day of our 2020 Let’s Look Link Up!

Shay and I hosted this link up last year and had a lot of fun sharing little glimpses of how we tackle sometime as well as see the way you do too.

Our 2020 line up is one I’m very excited about!
Okay, onto my bedside table.

This is what I’ve got beside me every night.

Lamp
Diffuser {Shay recommended this one and my girlfriend, Brooke, keeps me well stocked in the oil department.}
Candle
Gratitude Journal {I really have probably started this three different times and forget by February.  Trying again!}
Vertical Marriage {I always have a book beside my bed.  Shay was telling a few of us how great this book was and then later gave us all a copy to read.  I read it then and thought it was so good that I’m reading again.  Super great read for anyone married, wanting to get married, engaged to be married, etc.
Lotion {You guys all know the winter months have this girl so dry I’m cracking.}
Paper and Pen {Remember last year I did a post about not sleeping? One thing that’s really helped is this paper beside my bed.  It’s as if my body remembers EVERYTHING I should do or need to go around 2:00 a.m. so instead of trying to remember, I now jot it down and get back to sleep.  The funny part is since sleeping with this beside me I DON’T EVEN DO IT AS MUCH ANYMORE.  Crazy, right?  It’s like the paper and pen have brought me peace, which sounds ridiculous but it’s true.

FYI…if I had people coming over or something, I’d throw the lotion and paper and pen in my top drawer but I wanted you to see what it looks like 99% of the time.
Another look at my set up.

And because a post wouldn’t be complete with a picture of this cuteness.

One more for good measure. 🙂

Next month we’re sharing our Winter Wardrobe and I have to be honest-if the weather doesn’t get a little cooler here in Dallas my winter wardrobe is gonna look a lot like my spring and fall wardrobe.

Have a great Wednesday, Everyone!
XO

    I don't have a picture of mine, but it's similar with a small humidifier instead of the diffusor (the air is so dry here in IL during the winter months) and I also have an alarm clock which I HATE!!
    Love your navy bedding!

    Great idea to keep a little pad of paper on the nightstand for those inevitable sleepless nights. It helps me so much – when I am ruminating and can't turn off my brain – to write down my thoughts. Then I can usually fall asleep.

    I have that same gratitude journal. Just pulled it out after I snapped the photo of my nightstand. Had been writing my gratefuls in a devotional until this week. Back to my journal starting tonight.

    Going to check out that marriage book. If you are reading it a second time, I am sure it is good!!
