Whoop! Whoop!! It’s Friday!! And…the very first weekend college football is over with regular season games. Do you guys hear the angels singing or is it just me? That means Tab will be home the ENTIRE weekend! We have a weekend jam-packed full of Christmas fun!
I’m teaming up again with my girls, Andrea and Narci. You should join us!! It’s simple. Blog a favorite something…moment from the week, snapshots of your week, a favorite anything. Link back to us and join the link up at the bottom of the post!
Today I’m sharing a few of my FAVORITE moments this week…
FAVORITE moment #1:
We all got comfy cozy in the living room and watched the Polar Express! I posted this on Instagram and a couple of you weren’t big fans of the movie. I agree. It’s a little strange right?? What’s up with the random homeless man who keeps appearing? I’m sure he has a super significant meaning but I’ve never figured it out! If you know…please tell us all! I’ll be so thankful next year when I watch!
FAVORITE moment #2:
Yesterday at preschool was Nixon’s Christmas program. I got all situated in the front and realized my phone was out of storage. Boo! Luckily, Shay snapped a picture of Nixon’s side of the stage. Shay to the rescue!! And…Narci videoed it! Wahoo! I have the best friends! 🙂
Do you see Nixon top center? The last time he had a little “performance” he tried to be the funny guy making faces. Yesterday we had a BIG talk about how we should behave on stage. Whew! Happy (and a little sad too) this guys is definitely growing up and he ROCKED his stage time!!
For some WEIRD reason this picture is cutting off the bottom!! Not sure what that’s all about, but the picture was way too cute not to post. Marla came to watch the performance and Nix couldn’t have been happier.
This guy is an absolute mess, but he keeps me laughing daily! It’s crazy how he’s only four, but he totally gets jokes! He knows the exact time to say a one-liner. He sang his song for us last night (since Tab couldn’t make it). He conveniently “forgot” the part of the song where he sings, “I will obey”. He agreed he always has a little trouble remembering that line. hahahahaha!!
FAVORITE moment #3:
We made Christmas cookies at M and G’s house yesterday evening.
Nixon did a fabulous job!!
Sister was totally “into” it.
Bowen squirted more green icing in his mouth than he did on his cookie. #typical
I tried my hand at decorated a cookie and I couldn’t stop laughing!!! How does my cousin, Whitney, make it look so easy?? I instantly thought of the pic on the left she posted a while back. I mean seriously. hahahahaha!!! A side-by-side was definitely necessary and absolutely hysterical! How does she DO that?? If you’re in the Southeast Missouri area, you NEED them for your next party!!
FAVORITE mantel:
I promise you. I’m going to do a home tour of Marla’s house in January. You asked and I’m totally delivering! But…I couldn’t let this fabulous mantel slip by us! Look at it!! I am absolutely in love!
When she went home this past fall, she got that cotton wreath. Her parents used to farm cotton, so it’s super personal. Love that!! She had a vision, girls!! She kept telling me what she was going to do with it and it turned out GREAT!!! I love the colors and the reindeer! Love it all!
And…I always love her whimsical tree!!
I agree Erika. Love Polar Express, never understood the meaning of the man or why the kid from the other side of the tracks has to sit in a separate train car. Hope someone enlightens us! Hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas!
Hahaha….I am laughing so hard at your cookie side by side picture!! I have been admiring your cousin's cookie pictures on instagram and wonder how she does it too! Mine definitely look like yours! 🙂
That mantle!!! I love it!!! Also, I love that y"all made cookies last night–that is on our list too!! ❤️❤️❤️ happy weekend! 😊
Your decor is so pretty!!!!
Those preschool holiday performances are just the best! I miss those days! Have a great weekend!!!!
So much to say! First of all, our kiddos did so good yesterday! They were so sweet singing! Second, Marla's house looks so pretty! Her mantle is absolutely gorgeous! And third…I don't know how Whitney does her cookies. They are seriously works of art!
Bowen is TOO BIG decorating Christmas cookies!!!!! Ahhhhhh!
Erika, you have the most beautiful children! And that side by side pic of the cookies is hilarious… she is seriously talented!
Good gracious that mantle!!! And your cookies…I just love them! I was walking down the hall when Nixon was waiting to go perform and he was making silly faces as I walked by…he obeyed and got them out before he went on stage 🙂
Love her JOY sign…and love that she used the cotton wreath. Could definitely use it for more than just holiday decor that way. Have a fun weekend!
Girl, football season was over for us two weeks ago, and I have never been happier!(Except for the fact that our coaching staff was fired and we've been in limbo) But, DJ has been able to take the girls to daycare every day and he even cooked dinner one night. It has been fabulous!
I want Marla's ability to decorate! Gorgeous!
