Friday Favorites-9.25.26

HAPPY FRIDAY!!

Friends, at this rate I’m averaging two blog posts a month and during football season that feels pretty good. I have a pile of things I’ve ordered because #FALLCLOTHES on my dining room table but I haven’t tried a single thing on to know if it’s going to be a FAVORITE or not! For now, I have many everyday moments that are in fact MUCH BIGGER FAVORITES than a shirt or shoes to share with you. 😉 However, I know for you spying a cute shirt or those nice shoes might be more fun. Promise to get to that stack for you soon!

As always, I’m here with Andrea to bring you a peek at some of my everyday-moment-type-FAVORITES…

First FAVORITE…on September 11th, #9 and #11 were our captains. In honor of the day, definitely a FAVORITE.

With our FAVORITE #11 after a Friday night game.

Nixon got to join one of his FAVORITE offensive linemen at the Texas versus Ohio State game! WHAT A GAME!! DEFINITELY a FAVORITE for him! Bowen was there with a friend too {just not pictured}. Tab and I happily watched from our couch saying over and over, “WHAT A GAME for them to SEE!”. College football is a FAVORITE that hasn’t been disappointing us lately, that’s for sure!

*************************

Bowen’s 8th grade team had a GREAT game and these cuties got to help in the press box. A/C for them? Definitely a FAVORITE!

BIG LOVEJOY win with no time and a Hail Mary pass at the end?! You can tell by our faces…A FAVORITE!

Our team was down 0-14 at the half and more than anything, I was SO proud of the way they came out after half time and FOUGHT. That was something to be proud of!

My parents had made it into town earlier that day to watch our #11!

Somehow this guy was helping put away the inflatable so he snuck a pic.

The next morning we were up early to watch….

Ebby Lee’s SENIOR Pep Rally! There’s so much involved with cheer in high school…lots of community events, basketball games, volleyball games, football games, competitions, and more. Without a doubt…pep rallies are one of Ebby Lee’s FAVORITE things about cheer!

So happy they got to watch this girly do her thing!

Super proud of her!

Since it was Senior Night, all the seniors involved in any football game activity walked with their parents prior to kickoff.

ALL the seniors!

With their FAVORITE senior coach! It was hard to see but their coach was wearing a shirt with pictures of them as babies.

SUCH a FUN NIGHT!

And because we hadn’t had enough {I hope you’re reading that in a sarcastic way.}…my own, Arkansas State Red Wolves played at TCU on Saturday night so we drove over to watch. Football + Saturday Night + Cool-ish Weather…FAVORITE!

*************************

Nixon’s football team splits into groups for weekly team dinners and we hosted his group this past week. This was a FAVORITE group of boys…FULL of manners and so respectful! Happy to feed them ANYTIME!

WHAT did I feed them, you ask?? Well, LUPE TORTILLA! Dare I say that I think their fajitas are some of THE BEST near us?! We had beef and chicken fajitas as well as all the sides with queso, guacamole, and salsa. It was delish! And my people were happily still eating the leftovers yesterday! WIN-WIN!

One more quick FAVORITE…

if we were meeting up in real life I’d share this recipe with you because my people LOVED it! Now when I say “recipe”, please know that I saw it somewhere when I made my grocery list/meal plan but couldn’t find it again SO I did the best I could to remember. It turned out GREAT! {Tab and I actually fought over the leftovers if that tells you anything!}

This is how I did it.

*3 pounds cooked ground beef with chopped onion

*1 can green beans

*1 can sliced carrots

*1 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt

*1 can fat free cream of mushroom soup

*Cheese {use your favorite or whatever kind you have}

*Crispy Rounds {kind of like tater tots but different}

I cooked the ground beef with onion, added seasonings {use whatever your people like}, then added the drained green beans and drained carrots. Cooked that a bit more just to get it all seasoned well. Then added in the yogurt and cream of mushroom soup. I dumped the entire meat mixture into a casserole dish, added a bit of shredded cheese on top and then put some crispy rounds on top before baking at 350 degrees for about 20ish minutes. I just kept an eye on those crispy rounds.

My people love any type of shepherd’s pie type of meal so this was just another way to put a little spin on that and it was DELICIOUS! 5/6 of my people added Tabasco and almost everyone grabbed seconds! It was SO GOOD!

If your family enjoys a shepherd’s pie too, give this one a try!

Tonight we’re off to football, tomorrow we have two baseball games + a softball game and then if you need me, I’ll be on the couch watching FOOTBALL! Hope you have THE BEST weekend!

XO
