Friday Favorites-5.9.25

HAPPY FRIDAY! I apologize in advance. This post leans HEAVY on the baseball today but friends, that’s our life right now. I hope you’re surviving the last few weeks of school and are enjoying these days! I’m popping in today to share a few FAVORITES with Andrea!

First up is THIS sky! Isn’t it gorgeous?! Nixon’s high school is in the baseball playoffs. Watching them play on Friday night with this view was a FAVORITE!

*************************

Okay, bear with me for a second. Bowen plays baseball for the Broncos. Over the last couple years, instead of just having one team the “Broncos” crew has grown and there are teams in the 9U, 10U and 12U divisions. On Sunday evening, all three of these teams were playing at the SAME ball park, they all made it to the championship game in their divisions, and THEY ALL WON! Isn’t that cool?!

Super proud of this #27!

My FAVORITE way to wrap up a baseball weekend is with a WIN on Sunday evening.

One of my friends’ sons’ was playing at a nearby field and she popped over while Bowen was pitching to snap a few pictures of him. New FAVORITES!

We haven’t quite figured out the sock/knickers ratio. This kid has LONG legs!

*************************

This GOT ME! I’m so thankful I get to sit in the stands and watch.

*************************

More baseball…Nixon had his high school baseball banquet this week. It was a TEAR JERKER! I was sitting behind a senior mom and every time she wiped her eyes my heart stung just a bit. Only three more years!

This group had scrimmages, tournaments, district games, many practices, and weekly team dinners. They bonded on and off the field this season. What a great group of boys! So thankful Nix gets to be a part of it.

********************

Tonight I get to watch my FAVORITE cheerleader take the field for the VARSITY spring game! Once again, so thankful I get to watch. Hope you guys have a great Mother’s Day Weekend! Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms, aunts, grandmas, friends, and neighbors who all “mom” in different ways!

XO

I feel the same as you – what a JOY and privilege to get to be on the sidelines cheering our kids not only through their games/matches/events but through LIFE! I came across a picture the other day from a decade or so ago – it was our “weekend line-up” that I used to write on the chalkboard in our kitchen. It said “we have 17 games this weekend – more if any of the teams make it to the championship” – ha! I miss that so much. Happy Mother’s Day!

Yes, Jenni!! And after losing two friends who were my age….well I know they’d have given ANYTHING to get to watch their kids do it all. Just extra thankful to be on the sidelines.

Baseball is life right now!! Both of my boys have tourneys this weekend. It’s gonna be wild but I love watching them do what they love with people that they love.

GO B! So fun that all the teams won at the same time!

GO EL! A Varsity game tonight!!!! So much fun! How in the world did we get here so fast?

And let’s give a shout out to B for all of the activities she’s attending right now. She’s the real MVP.

Hi Melynda! Sometimes those days are WAY TOO BUSY! But I’ll take the busy any day as long as I get to watch.

Love this post! Happy Mother’s Day weekend! I get to watch my 4 year old daughter perform at her dance recital on Sunday. On Mother’s Day but of course, there isn’t anywhere else I would rather be than watching one of my kids do what they love!
