Hey There, Friends!
It’s FRIDAY! And on this particular day we’re celebrating Good Friday…

which was the day Jesus was crucified and died on a cross for you and for me. But Sunday’s coming….just three days later he was resurrected and is alive! We celebrate his resurrection that signifies victory over death everyday but especially on Easter Sunday. Just wanted to send you a little Happy Easter message before I get down to all the random things I’m sharing from my week. As always, be sure to check out Andrea’s FAVORITES as well.

First up is this FAVORITE sport of Bowen’s…football. He’s been playing in a 7 on 7 league Friday nights. This past week he got a turn at quarterback and I wish I could post the celebration by the team/coaches when he threw that touchdown. It was epic! {Bowen’s never been a quarterback so it was extra shocking and extra celebrated!}

This picture of Nixon’s glove might be my FAVORITE of the season.
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

This FAVORITE oldest son of mine turned FIFTEEN on Saturday. We had sports for Bowen and Britt but took Nixon out for brunch in between. He hung out with some friends that evening and we’re gonna have a little celebration this weekend.

Time travel back with me {if you don’t mind}…do you remember my friend, Amanda? {She’s on the left}

And then she’s beside me on the right?

A few weeks ago our boys played each other and our team mom caught this pic of Mason and Nixon. It feels like yesterday they looked more like this…

Time SLOW DOWN! But always extra fun when you get to play friends you’ve known for years!

Baseball season is wrapping up here. He has just two weeks left before he’ll officially switch over to Spring Football. It’s been such a great season! I always heard from friends with older kids that high school baseball is a commitment and now I get it. At least two games a week, with one extra weekly team dinner night, many early morning practices, several weekend tournaments, and a busy Spring Break has made it a busy spring but Nixon has made some amazing memories! We’re already looking forward to next year and this season isn’t even over yet!

Okay, I think I’m late to the game with this show but I watched it over the past two weeks and I AM SHOOK. Have you seen Good American Family on Hulu? It’s a dramatization of the story about the family who adopted the little girl from Ukraine who they thought was 7 but was in her 20’s?
I have SO many questions and could talk for DAYS about this one! Have you watched?!

This has to the the girl’s FAVORITE snack in our house right now. I threw this in my online cart this week and basically it was the equivalent to an out of the park home run! SERIOUSLY! These dill pickle rice crisps have so much dill flavor it’s like eating dill pickle chips but these are WAY better for us! I snagged mine from HEB which is a local Texas grocery store but I’m sure they have them at most groceries.

Today, all my people are off of school. We’re gonna get some stuff done around the house this weekend. We have two of my favorite people’s birthdays we’re celebrating, an Easter brunch, and some time with the family.
Hope you guys have the best Easter weekend!
