Hey Hey Hey!
Some holidays my expectations are all wrong and real life doesn’t add up to what I’ve pictured in my head. Has this ever happened to you before? Maybe the game was all wrong, a gift you thought would be a “hit” was a big “miss”, or you had a sick kid and had to cancel all the plans? It’s happened to us!

Let this be a little PSA that one day your kids will be older, they’ll get the true meaning of what you’re celebrating and the reality will far exceed any expectations you had for the day. Trust me!
Britt hunted eggs, the Easter bunny left them all goodies, we went to church, had Easter brunch with Tab’s parents, and then I really had NO plans the rest of the day. The kids ended up asking us to all go play pickleball that afternoon, we grilled out for dinner, and ended with some whiffle ball. It was such a great Easter Sunday. As I look back, it probably has a lot to do with the fact that we were just all together. Sometimes the expectations I put on myself for having all the cute holiday things, probably don’t really matter. #ineedtorememberthis

I hope you had a great Easter Sunday as well!
I was halfway finished with another Paris recap but when one of the older kids asked me to head outside to play whiffle ball, well…I couldn’t resist! Please come back tomorrow to see that recap!
Happy Monday!
XO

Happy Easter!
It sounds like a lowkey, stressfree holiday. Thanks for showing us that Easter can be special in a simple way, keeping Jesus the main thing!!

I LOVED your practice showing up imperfectly! SO TRUE! Those are the posts and stories I listen to so much more than the perfectly curated ones!
This sounds like the perfect Easter–time at church and time with family! How fun that y’all played picklebll and whiffle ball!

Where did you find Ebby Lee’s Easter dress? I have a daughter close to her age that would love that dress!
Altar’d State! I’d say she got it about three-four weeks ago!
