Happy Happy Friday, Friends! I feel like I need to do a little life catch up with you guys so today my post is all about some FAVORITE things that have happened around our house lately.
As always, I’m teaming up with Andrea and we’d love for you to join us!
First up, last Saturday morning we had a 16th Birthday Brunch for Ebby Lee to celebrate with all of our friends. Let me just tell you we’d contemplated having this in our backyard and I’m SO GLAD we didn’t. The weather was absolutely terrible but these girls didn’t let a little rain stop them. They showed up looking ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE! We had her brunch at La Parisienne and it couldn’t have been more perfect.
We were all so excited to celebrate our girl!
I forgot to take a close up picture but Gimme All the Sprinkles made the cutest cookies! We put one near each place setting.
The cute bistro is Paris theme but they also deck the place out for each season so it was looking all kinds of “spring”.
The sweetest group of girls arrived.
We all had our fill of Paris inspired food.
And then we enjoyed a macaron or two. 🙂
So much fun celebrating Ebby Lee’s 16th Birthday with this group of girls.

We got back to our house on Saturday around 1:00 p.m. and Tab and I left the house at 1:30 p.m. to head to Scottsdale, Arizona, for a little work trip.
Nixon and I were here about a year ago for baseball, but I’d completely forgotten how gorgeous it is.
Our resort was stunning nestled right beside the mountains.
A little view of the room….
I tried to get into the spirit and turned the fireplace on the first night. Well, it was Arizona in April so Tab turned that off pretty quickly.
These were the views off our balcony.
We arrived tired…it had been a WEEK! I almost cancelled two different times, but I’m so glad I snuck away. Always fun to get some alone time with this guy.
The next morning our breakfast and the views were amazing!
We walked from our resort {we stayed here} to the Pinnacle Peak Trail and back.
More gorgeous views….
I was excited to see this but then we had to turn around and go all the way back. ha!
Our last evening there was “Western Themed” so I wore the hat I’d made earlier at lunch with a dress/cowboy boots.
They bussed our group to this cute little “western town” where they had roping, line dancing, country music, and a delicious meal.
It was giving all the Wild West vibes. Such a fun getaway!

Tomorrow this kid turns FIFTEEN so we’ll celebrate him as much as we can this weekend!
And now you’re all caught up with Slaughter life. 🙂
Happy Happy Friday! Hope you have the best weekend!
