Friday Favorites-11.24.23

Hi Friends!

HAPPY BLACK FRIDAY! If you missed my post on Wednesday, you can check it out here! I shared some of the items I’m shopping for this weekend, some sales, and some items we love!

Today, I’ve teamed up with my girl, Andrea, to share some FRIDAY FAVORITES! My family of six has been in Missouri this week celebrating Thanksgiving with our Missouri family so I’ve got a big list of faves from our time here….

First up, FIREWORKS are always a FAVORITE! I realized when visiting this summer that every time we go visit my mom is spending so much time in the kitchen cooking! {Yes, not sure why it took me until almost forty to realize this!} But I decided I wanted to do something to be more helpful during this visit so Tab and I hosted a little fun, family night on Tuesday evening. I cooked a big batch of chili, we grilled hot dogs, and had smores. Tab and I drove over to a local firework store to add a little sparkle to the bonfire night as well. {I couldn’t have done it without my parents. ha! They did my grocery pick up order, got the firewood, etc. but hopefully it was a little easier for them that night.}

Before the party started, we let this girl drive the gravel roads to practice her skills.

And this girly got her turn on the go-kart! Don’t worry, an adult went with her!

Another FAVORITE kind of night…one around a bonfire.

Wednesday afternoon we went to visit my dads’ parents. They’ve moved recently to an assisted living so we got to check out their new place. We had a great time getting to catch up with them. These were my grandparents that lived on the farm so we listened to my grandpa tell some farm stories. Six of my FAVORITES!

And then I forgot to take a picture, but we dropped the kids off at my brother and sister-in-law’s house with their boys and the grown ups WENT OUT ON A DOUBLE DATE! The six kids had pizza delivered, watched a movie/played video games while the adults were dining out.

Thanksgiving Day we were with my mom’s family at the hostess with the mostest, my Aunt Rene’s….sister-in-law, Kelly, Ebby Lee & me. 🙂

My sister-in-law and cousins…so many memories from my childhood involve these girls! {my sister-in-law and cousin were besties growing up so she was at a lot of our events too-isn’t that fun?}

After a delicious lunch we played several rounds of Bingo!

Me and my gorgeous mama

After Bingo, we finished it off with a Christmas carol game and then a family rendition of The 12 Days of Christmas…Tab’s FAVORITE! 😉

Tab took this picture and while it’s blurry, it makes me smile.

I ended Thanksgiving day counting every blessing. So very thankful for this entire crew!

Hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving Day! And have an awesome weekend! We’re off to make our way back to Texas today! See you back here on Wednesday!

XO

    Looks like such a great time with family! I remember my daughter behind the wheel when she first learned to drive, such treasured memories. One picture it actually looked as though Ebby Lee was taller than you. Thanks for sharing! Also, I love the loafers from your previous post, I have been looking at those exact shoes. Have a great holiday and safe travels!
