Happy Friday!
I’ve had THE BEST week! We’ve had Fall Break and all four of my kids have been out of school this week. We’ve still had football practice but the rest of school has taken a break. It’s been so very nice. We’ve watched several scary movies as a family + extra kids, we attended a concert, we’ve had nice dinners at home plus dinners out, we took fall family pictures, Ebby Lee and I checked another collage off our must-visit list, and we all got some extra rest. I guess what I’m saying is FALL BREAK is a new FAVORITE!

First FAVORITE…
I bought Ebby Lee and our neighbor Megan Moroney tickets for Christmas last year, which felt like FOREVER ago! The day FINALLY arrived and while I had a GREAT time, some funny things happened too.

First up, I didn’t realize that most ladies dress in white/blue to match Megan’s latest album cover. In the girls’ defense, they tried to get me to change clothes and I just didn’t fully realize why they were encouraging me to wear other colors. Until I got there, I was dressed like this…
I was wearing my FAVORITE tanks {with the built-in bra!!} with a fun + festive bandana in black/red. I’d say 92% of the other women and girls were in white and blue. WHO KNEW?!
I also THOUGHT I was being super fun by snagging pit tickets for us to be down on the floor in the crowd. WHAT was I thinking? We had to get to the venue about two hours BEFORE the doors opened so we’d be closer to the front.
Do my eyes look nervous? It’s because at this point my feet were starting to hurt but I was realizing I had another four-ish hours to go WITHOUT a chair!

Finally I decided everything could be washed and we sat for a bit to save our feet.
I took this so you could see there were people standing AND sitting in this pit crowd.
Hours later the music started and I realized the blisters on my feet + pain in my back was totally worth it!
Megan Moroney put on an AMAZING show!
We had a blast and I found myself in the Taco Bell drive-thru at 12:30 a.m.! BAHAHAHA! Might have been my FAVORITE way to kick off Fall Break!

A photographer was down on the football field last week and snapped a couple pictures of Nixon warming up. Love that it shows their school name up on the press box.

I took my boys to get haircuts this week and how cute and festive it was! It was my FAVORITE kind of Fall Break errand thanks to the decor!

One day this past week, Ebby Lee and I visited the University of Oklahoma on an “official” campus tour. Before we even hopped on the tour, we met up with one of our old family babysitters to check out the Chi-Omega sorority house. It was absolutely gorgeous!
Oklahoma is a stunning campus!
We got to see dorm rooms, some academic buildings, the football field and more!
It was a PERFECT day trip with just the two of us!
The last time we were in this stadium OU was playing Arkansas State and it felt like it was four billion degrees outside! This October day was very different!
As we were ending our tour ANOTHER Slaughter family babysitter walked by and we got to visit with her too! SMALL WORLD up in Norman, Oklahoma! Ebby Lee and I had a great little day trip to visit all things OU! Another Fall Break FAVORITE!

At one point in my life, I would have only wanted concert tickets on the floor, but now that sounds like a nightmare LOL. So glad y’all had a great fall break!

I love those loafers – super cute! I can hardly do flats anymore but don’t love heels so anything chunky really fits the bill for me. Looks like a great day at OU – you’ve had some great visits so far. Glad Fall Break has turned out well for all of you 🙂
