Britty had three of her FAVORITE friends’ birthday parties over the weekend. She had two at a gymnastics place and then this party was Monday. The Cove at Lake Front in Little Elm brought lots of fun!

You guys-I have to share…I was standing in the surfing line with the girls and I was dressed in street clothes with my hair down. A grown man got up there to do some tricks on a surf board {he didn’t work there, he was just there for the day} and he did the trick where he sprays water ALL OVER the people watching. But, I wasn’t in a swimsuit so my clothes got SOAKED! My hair was dripping! It was absolutely terrible! I moved out of the way to stand by the birthday girl’s mom and that’s when he sprayed us again. It was terrible! I got soaked not just once but twice and then had wet, dripping hair and a red sports bra with a white WET tank {yes, yes, terrible} the rest of the party.

The party itself though was a blast!

This is super random but ended up being a FAVORITE dinner recipe from the week. I’m always hesitant to make anything buffalo chicken for my family just because my kids aren’t the biggest fans of the amount of buffalo I prefer, but this week I threw caution to the wind. :). I cooked two pounds of ground chicken and then threw it in the slow cooker, along with diced onion and shredded carrots. I added onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Then I put in quite a bit of Frank’s Buffalo Sauce and some chicken broth. This little mixture cooked all day long in the slow cooker and my plan worked perfectly. By dinnertime, the ground chicken didn’t even taste like chicken anymore. {Because ugh-that plain chicken flavor isn’t my thing.}. It had the best buffalo flavor, the carrots were tender, and it was a hit! Just in case you need a new recipe to try in your rotation!

I forgot to share some big news with you guys…we WON our Fantasy Football League! WAHOOO!!! We got super lucky and the top team got knocked out a week before we’d have had to play them. This Fantasy Football League season was one of my FAVORITES. Bowen and I are already talking about next season.

Speaking of football, this weekend I’ll just be sitting on my couch watching all the playoff games! Bowen’s cheering for the Chiefs, Ebby Lee has the Bengals, I’m pulling for the Bills, and Nixon is going for his Cowboys. See what I mean?! ALL WEEKEND LONG! And I’m super excited about it!

Hope you guys have a great weekend too!
