Britt’s Birthday

On Sunday, November 12th, 2017, Miss Britt Bradford turned TWO!

She couldn’t believe it!  And we couldn’t either.  😉

We went to church, had lunch out, came home to open presents, she napped and then it was PARTY TIME!  We kept the party super simple this year.  We invited the grandparents and the Shulls to join us for a birthday dinner.  There’s a new place in town, Hat Creek Burger Company, that has a cool play area for kids, fun patio, AND the Cowboys game on every Sunday. We decided to try it out for the party!

If you’re local, it worked perfectly for an early dinner Sunday party.  I went in to check on reserving a table or two and because they’re so new they haven’t gotten that all set up just yet.  They told me to come early and hold the table.  Ebby Lee and I got there about forty-five minutes before everyone else and snagged some tables.  The birthday reservation system is supposed to be up soon.

We decorated this table for the kiddos.  The unicorn decor was all from Target.  I waited until the last second to grab some things and Target came through for me.

We got all the girls a little unicorn head band to wear and then everyone had some kind of party favor…unicorn scarves for the big girls.

Stuffed unicorns for the little girls and fidget spinners for the boys.

Target didn’t get the memo that I would have preferred for the sign to say, “Happy Birthday”, “You Are Loved”, or “You Are Two”.  “You Are Magical” isn’t exactly what I would have chosen, BUT it matched the party decor so we went with it!

This was a view from the other side of the room.

Okay, she’s reached the age where she’s crazy helpful!  #ilikeit

The birthday girl arrived and was like…WHAT IS GOING ON?  This was pretty much the look she had all evening!

Four Slaughters ready to PARTY!

Britt wasn’t so sure about the slide.

But she asked to go again RIGHT after this picture!

I was making ALL KINDS OF SILLY FACES trying to get Britt to smile but instead of smiling she was making those same faces!  ha!

There was too much going on to smile for a picture.

Shull girls in the house!

Oh, this makes me laugh!  We were both making mean faces and then smiling…but clearly we were off.

Brothers doing boy stuff at the unicorn party.  😉

M and G came to celebrate!

And it wouldn’t have been a party without THIS GIRL!

We had burgers, chicken, and fries for dinner.

Then we sang, “Happy Birthday” to the birthday girl!  My favorite part about this was on the “Happy Birthday Dear —” part, everyone sang, “Happy Birthday Dear Britty”.  ha!  No one even stumbled!

Nixon helped her blow out the candles.

She didn’t really know what to do with that cupcake.  But…

our girl figured it out quickly.

YUM!  🙂

She was the last one at the table still eating her cupcake.  She was a big fan!

We played a little bit more and then called it a night!  It was the perfect way to celebrate our girly turning TWO!

XO

Awwww! It does look like a perfect little night! And I like a girl that stays at the table to finish what she's eating. I can relate to that. 🙂

She's so sweet! She reminds me of my little one–especially the cupcake part! My daughter would surely still be at the table finishing her cupcake too. 😀

We love Hat Creek! They're originally based in Austin and it's so cool to hear they've made it up to DFW. Yum! What a fun and easy birthday party – which is what you need for a two-year-old. Way to keep it real! 🙂 I'm sure sweet Britt had a blast.
