Britt’s 6th Birthday Party-Down on the Farm

Before I get to the post today, I must share the Bestie Breakdown producer, John, has been under the weather over the last week. He kept offering to have someone else get the podcast episode ready this week, but we told him to just focus on getting better.  We might have the podcast ready to go later this week or it might happen next week.  Shay and I will keep you posted.  But please join us in praying for John.  He’s such a great guy and he puts up with us each and every week.  We’re so thankful for him.  Praying for you, John!

Instead of a new podcast post I’m finally getting around to sharing Britt’s 6th Birthday Party.  This year we declared it time for a big birthday party!  In the past she’s had smaller parties or just family things but this year we went big.  I chose Monday, November 8th, because school was out so I was hopeful most of our friends had a free day to party!  We partied around lunch time at a little farm not too far on the outskirts of town, Cathy’s Critters {for all the local girls}.

I enlisted the help of Amanda at Pip Pop to help with the decor.  Check out the cute, cute balloon arch she brought.  I ordered this set of birthday decorations, sent her a screenshot, and this is what she created.  She was fabulous!

The party was complete with pony rides, 

a hayride,

and petting zoo.

Britt Slaughter is not afraid of a single animal at a petting zoo.

Unlike her older sister, Ebby Lee.  She was about 18 months when we visited this same farm with friends.  When Ebby Lee got close to a goat her body started shaking.  It was unlike anything I’d ever seen her do before.  Needless to say, Britt is not scared of any animal.

She had the best party complete with friends, animals, pizza, and cupcakes.

We had a great day celebrating with our friends.

This pig thought he was a party guest…so funny!  He hung out in the barn with us waiting for some pizza to drop.

It was the PERFECT day to celebrate this girly of mine turning SIX!  We partied hard down on the farm.  Thank you to all of our people who showed up to make it so special!
