What’s Up Wednesday-8.31.22

Spoiler alert: Tomorrow is September 1st! I keep wishing for fall weather to arrive but we’re still in August. ha! School starting so early has gotten me all mixed up! I’m linking up with Sheaffer and Shay today for their What’s Up Wednesday link-up! Each month they share a long list of questions answering what’s up. Let’s get right to it!

What We’re Eating This Week

If you find yourself without a kitchen and are looking for a little inspiration, I hope this part of my blog post helps. 😉

Monday: Over the weekend I went to Marla’s to cook some things we’d be able to quickly heat up to eat all week. We had taco salads complete with all the toppings.

Tuesday: The air fryer was my BFF last night. Tab was out of town so the kids and I had some quick and easy Trader Joe’s food for dinner.

Wednesday: Tonight my mother-in-law {who is saving us lately} is delivering dinner. THANK GOODNESS FOR HER!

Thursday: I have all the goodies to make chicken noodle soup in my slow cooker.

Friday: This year we have an extra day off for Labor Day so we have plans to do something fun!

What I’m Loving

Bowen and I just participated in our first Fantasy Football Draft this past weekend. Another mom/son combo are hosting a Mother/Son league and well, we are invested. Our first round draft pick was Josh Allen and Bowen asked me last night if we could get matching Josh Allen jerseys. He knows the way to my heart…new clothes. haha! And anytime a kid wants to match me, I AM IN! The season starts next weekend and Bowen’s already told me, “we need to watch every NFL game”. Not happening but it’ll make this football season a little more fun.

What We’ve Been Up To

Speaking of football, our high school team kicked off their season this past Friday night.

What I’m Working On

We are working on ALL THINGS HOUSE! Part of the cabinets are in. First room was the new pantry. As crazy as it sounds, I might be the most excited about this room!

What I’m Excited About

Was anyone else REALLY excited to watch College Game Day this past Saturday? The kids and I all gathered around the t.v., me with coffee in hand! But it fell a little flat for me. I wish they’d have kicked it off this coming weekend when they were all together in person. The energy they bring when they’re all together is just hard to beat. Know what I mean? Needless to say, I’m really excited about the show the rest of the season.

What I’m Watching/Reading

Big Brother is GETTING GOOD!!! I’m a fan of the show always, but some seasons are a little slower than others. This one was getting a tad boring but now the competition is ON!

What I’m Listening To

Construction sounds are all around!

What I’m Wearing

Last week I shared a round up of what I wore on our Alaskan vacation. Many of those things are in the rotation now. Mainly because they’re some of my favorites and then also because I only have access to a limited amount of my clothes. haha!

What I’m Doing This Weekend

I’m getting to spend four uninterrupted days with these five! And I’m looking forward to it. Tab’s been traveling a lot this past month and he’ll be here all weekend. WAHOO!

What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month

We have a fun trip planned and to say I’m looking forward to it would be an understatement. 🙂
