What a WEEK! This week truly felt like school is back in session. All the warm fuzzies of the newness have faded and we’re back in the swing of all things school. It felt really good. The Slaughters got their school groove back. And then the contractor took out both my washer and dryer. hahaha! So, my laundry will be backed up throwing my groove all off next week.

This treadmill work out I stumbled upon was a FAVORITE this week! On Wednesday I hit up the gym way later in the day then I normally do. I was needing to get some cardio in but running on the treadmill, a walk, the Peloton…nothing sounded good, but then I found this boredom buster treadmill workout. It was so good! The incline/speed changed so often the 30 minutes FLEW by! HIGHLY recommend it for you!

One of my FAVORITE teacher friends has been working with Britt on all things school. Lisa and I worked together on the third grade team years ago, but now she has her own private company, The Wright Approach. She specializes in dyslexia and ADHD services but can tackle most things when you’re referring to kids. Britt loves her time with Mrs. Lisa. She worked with her all summer just to make sure she retained everything to be ready for kindergarten. I’ve been meaning to share her information in case you’re local and looking for someone to help your child.

Bowen played in a flag football tournament in Cowboy’s Stadium on Sunday. Their team won their bracket which meant he got to come home with THE COOLEST ring. Crazy fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Watching a kiddo play a sport he loves…a FAVORITE!

How fun is THIS-two of my FAVORITE seniors who didn’t know each other until I connected them because they were both heading to OU ended up in the SAME CLASS! They texted me this picture and my day was made! Love them both!

Oh my goodness-we’ve gotta chat about this new movie on Amazon Prime, 13 Lives. It’s a movie based on the Tham Luang cave rescue that happened in Thailand in 2018. The kids and I watched it several weeks ago {Britt feel asleep} but the rest of us were speechless at times, holding our breath during other moments, and even crying at points. It was such a good depiction of true events. I highly suggest watching it. It’s one of those movies that will stick with you for many months after-a FAVORITE way to spend a weekend night!

This beef jerky is the perfect amount of sweet mixed with heat. SO GOOD!
With a few of these cheddar cheese whisps…SO GOOD! Seriously try the combination!

Our high school football team kicks off the season tonight so I’m off to enjoy those Friday Night Lights! Have the best weekend!
