What’s Up Wednesday! I’m gonna link up with Sheaffer and Shay to answer a little about what’s going on around here!

What We’re Eating This Week

This week we’re all out on Thanksgiving Break! It’s the stuff my mom dreams are made of…all my people HOME!

Monday-We got in from our Nashville weekend trip mid-day and I’d ordered groceries to have Sausage Tortellini Soup.

Tuesday-1/3 of our people have plans so I’m going to take the other 2/3 out for dinner.

Wednesday-Tab was on a work retreat and his boss made “the most delicious smashburger tacos”. He’s been talking about them since he returned so I asked him to attempt to make those tonight. Fingers crossed!

Thursday-For the first time in a while, it’s gonna be just us six on Thanksgiving! We’ll have a big breakfast casserole + Thanksgiving meal + be in our comfies all day + watch ALL the football!

Friday-Family wedding out of town so we’ll be eating whatever we’re served!

What I’m Reminiscing About

One of my very first McKinney friends I ever made went to be with Jesus this week. Haley and her husband lived one street over from us in our first home here in McKinney. We met at the pool one day and became fast friends. If you knew Haley, then you loved her. She was a bright light to EVERYONE! Nixon and her son, Case, were just a few months apart so most week days from 3-5 you could find us stroller walking to the park to let those kids play during those witching hours. We’d head back in time to make dinner before the dads got home from work.

My hearts been heavy thinking about her over the past week. So many good memories I have were spent like this picture above.

What I’m Loving

THANKSGIVING BREAK!!!

I LOVE being together with all my people! I kept thinking we should get away over Christmas Break but I’ve been quickly reminded how much I love when we’re all together here at home. We were out of town over the weekend {pics to come} and I was itching to get back!

What We’ve Been Up To

Bowen had a fun weekend away with a friend in College Station. They went to Midnight Yell, watched the game where the Aggies came back and beat South Carolina, and had a BLAST!

That same weekend, Ebby Lee competed in her first cheer competition of the season and THEY SNAGGED FIRST PLACE!

Tab and I were both able to attend which rarely happens when you have four kids so EXTRA special day!

Wreck-I just started reading this sequel to Catherine Newman’s Sandwich. I didn’t love that book but honestly, the covers of these books get me EVERY TIME! How gorgeous is that cover?!

I’ve just been watching a lot of football and soon to be Christmas movies!

What I’m Listening To

I’m not a “listen to Christmas music in July girl” but I do love it from now until Christmas!

What I’m Doing This Weekend

This oldest nephew of ours is GETTING MARRIED!! {How am I old enough for this?!}. Twenty years ago he was our ring bearer and now he’s the groom!

Latest Amazon Purchase

This is SO random but my parents got this stuffed cat for Britt years ago. They named it after one of their cats and she sleeps with it at night. {It also has the stuffing you can heat up so it gets warm.}. Anyway, it got dirty and I thought I’d just wash it well that stuffing got mildew-y in the wash and made our laundry room smell for DAYS! Needless to say, I found a new one that Britt will be getting for Christmas. Crisis averted!
