What We’re Eating This Week
Monday-Random story-when we visited Cincinnati {and Ebby Lee fell in love with the Bengals} we had Cincinnati Chili at the famous, Skyline Chili. I ran across a dupe recipe and we gave that a try. This night happened to be THE night the Texas Rangers won their division to advance to the World Series. I’m a BIT nervous Tab’s going to ask me to make Cincinnati Chili EVERY night they’re playing for the next week or two. ha! Good luck dinner?
Tuesday-Last night Nixon had football and my parents were here to watch so I added breadcrumb coated chicken breasts to the slow cooker, added Rao’s Arrabbiata Sauce and a little mozzarella for a lazy kind of chicken parmesan.
Wednesday-Tonight we’re having chicken salads. I make a dressing with olive oil and pepperoncini juice. I grabbed those delicious Bob Evan’s mashed potatoes for the kids to have as an extra side.
Thursday-Lasagna soup is on the menu. I’ve heard about this over and over and am finally giving it a try!
Friday-My kitchen will be CLOSED!
What I’m Reminiscing About
Tab Slaughter is living his best life today. His Rangers are FINALLY in the World Series again. I had to share this pic….earlier this year {I was out of town} Tab took these three to the game.

And I’m also LOVING this pic! Gary turned 70 last summer so the whole family gifted him a hot air balloon for his birthday. They finally got to go up and the ride was great! I loved hearing about their experience and I loved those views!
What We’ve Been Up To
Friday night was Britt’s last softball game of the season. This girl absolutely LOVED playing softball!
She had her own cheering section on her last game! The crew was almost big enough to need our own set of bleachers.
Saturday, Bowen’s 7-on-7 team played three games in the playoffs to clench the FIRST PLACE TITLE! So proud of these boys who battled for the WIN!
Saturday evening, this guy { who was OFF this weekend} and I attended the Mane Gait Gala. Some of our neighbors are part of the non-profit so it’s always an event we try to attend if Tab’s at home. It just magically worked out this year and we had a great night!
So thankful for such amazing neighbors! And aren’t they DARLING in their hats?

Coffey Anderson was the entertainment and he was amazing! He sang some cover country songs, his own originals, and managed to rap in the line-up as well. Not sure how he did all that!
School friends, mom friends, neighborhood friends…
The venue looked amazing! The food was great! And it was just a fun night!
And it’s hard to tell from this pic but last night Nixon and his football team had a GAME IN THE RAIN! We were soaked in the stands watching!

Transferring summer clothes in everyone’s closets over to more fall/winter {FINALLY}!

What I’m Watching/Reading
Remember how I chose the Phillies to be MY TEAM this baseball season? And then I realized baseball season is apparently too long for me to stay invested the entire time? Needless to say, this post season my family has convinced me to cheer for the Rangers so here I am. Staying up WAY too late every night watching baseball.
And I haven’t opened a book in DAYS!

My plaid hat I ordered a while back finally arrived! The football game was in the middle of a down pour so I added my rain jacket and this short-sleeve sweatshirt {I sized up}.

Fall sports are winding down so we’ll finish those up AND add in some Halloween fun!
